You have a nice geometric, somewhat masculine look going here. I would play that up. I don't think you need to change the wall or carpet color as they seem to be a nice neutral background. Are they cream? is the purple more plum? and is the blue more of a steel blue/gray? The furniture is chocolate brown? I love the striped pillow on the chair. I would layer a wool steel blue/gray area rug and then play up the blue/plum in the pillows. A wool plaid or blue gray herringbone in a couple of throw pillows (replace a few of the solid color pillows) could help to pull it all together. Kind of like the colors in the picture of this bag. Adding brown leather cording would be a great compliment on the pillows. (Not sure the area rug in front of the TV is adding anything)

Hi Emran, What a great size room you have. You need to create two sitting areas within the space, and pull them into the room (get them off the wall), also I can see from the fantastic chandelier that you have, that the dining table must stay where it is. I would recommend you go with 3 large area rugs, at least 10x12 looking at the size of your room. Hello there, If you use water and oil on a daily basis for Pujan and plan for doing homa too nearby, it is best to avoid any paper and wood based material. Golden stencil is definitely good and you could draw a pattern as a backdrop. Else, more elaborate materials as glossy tiles, natural stones etc. could be beneficial too. Hey Aleen, It is rather dark but it looks really pretty. Until you redo the kitchen, here are a few suggestions! Paint the lower cabinets white since they are sandwiched between two dark surfaces Paint the upper ones a beautiful pastel sage (I love you colour options BTW, the mushroom and sage sound blissful) and mushroom grey (really really REALLY light) on the walls You can lay down a light coloured and thin outdoor rug on the floor to make the space lighter add plants to liven up the space (could be faux!) Lastly, the little sliver of the wall on the left is a bit of an eyesore. Try painting it over (black or sage green) and if it doesn't look nice (I have my doubts) then hang something there, like a faux plant, or some other kitchen decor item.
