Tiles look creamy warm and the counter top white and grey. Trust your gut. It is not the best match.

Forget the tile. Pick a great COLOR of paint for the kitchen walls. Not some insipid white or gray. You’ve got the cart before the horse here though with that expensive counter on top of thermofoil cabinets.

If you are keeping the tall quartz backsplash there is no need for tile above. Either remove the quartz backsplash & go with tile, or keep the quartz & just paint. Yes different lighting will make your countertops look different. Depending on the warmth/coolness of the lighting they can look completely different.

I would call attention with a paint color. The higher backsplash and thus far, WHITE theme , means throw something more in the visual space there.....Green/teal/eggplant/ mustard. Go for semi gloss noticeable color that you LIKE. Regard the counter/backsplash and then color as a whole. Skip any tile backsplash.

You have a significant backsplash already. Take this opportunity to add a nice color. Think about paint. You will have a much more custom looking kitchen if you steer clear of oft repeated formulas.

Since you already have a very tall backsplash already that extends from your countertops, we don't recommend installing a backsplash that is different on top of that. If you are planning on removing the tall backsplash then try for a more grey tile.
