modern house exterior tips

Hello All,

We are getting a Home built and wanted some input from the community on tips to modernize the exterior look.
We live in AZ and houses here can get a bit cookie cutter like.

We still need to stick to the basic structure (unfortunately), but are looking for any tips that will give you a modern curb appeal. Landscaping is an option, we are already choosing gray as an exterior color with a slightly lighter trim. How about pavers, garage door, lighting, and our biggest issue - Stucco... can we get away with a modern look with Stucco? Any suggestions would be great!

I dislike stucco exteriors but they seem to be the norm in AZ.But without seeing the actual style of your home it is difficult to make suggestions. This is a contemporary exterior with a smoother succo finish that might be a possible idea.

My guess is that in Arizona you are going to end up with at least some area of stucco. However, have you considered combining it with accents of cast stone and/or tropical wood rainscreen siding for contrast? Here is one example we did...

simple Ange's like adding duct pace will give cool exteriors....entrance to plot is not clear. One can imagine your inclination to free flowing space but protection of openings from Sun and rain is required in most parts in India. introduce internal courtyard n a recesses floor on south side...
