You will not get a proper rounded edge unless you do membrane finish with post forming. But with laminate, you can avoid a sharp edge by using edge banding tape, and in veneer you can use beading and round off the beading to get a similar effect. However, you get a much better finish with edge banding on laminate. Nowadays you get so many options and brilliant finishes in laminate, and it gives you a more streamlined look. However, it is ultimately a very personal choice. In my company we use a lot of veneer to get a more classic look (as in panelled) which is very difficult to achieve in laminate.

yes. As veneer is thin layer of wood. It can be painted with wood paint colors. First little bit sanding then primer and color.

So i’m guessing you’re saying that oil paint/enamel paint looks cheap? That makes sense cause whilst i was growing up, the govt quarters came with oil painted doors and it chipped off in a few years in a sorry state. Don’t want that. So oil paint is out? What I’m gathering is that PU paint is not just paint. It’s a process? So you prime and paint(?) first and then do a protective coating of PU with the thinners and the additives? Am I getting this right? :P
