We are renovating our kitchen and I can’t decide if I should put the sink on the kitchen island as opposed to the back wall near the stove where of course there is no possibility of a window. I have always had a window so I’m not sure if in the long run I would miss it. The other option would be to remove the large window 7’ x 5’5” and put a smaller window so that I can put the sink on that side. The designer is saying that the sink in the island would be better just in terms of added cost and I would lose a lot of pantry space if we went the replacement window route. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

the sink should be at 33" from the floor. your countertop height will depend on if you're using a top mounted or insert sink

Kavita, You may be in luck, there is a quick and easy fix for the eyesore. Look for a product called Self adhesive caulking tape. But please get a decent professional to install it this time. They save such issues. Thanks, Nitin Cornerstone Designs, Bangalore
