Comments (14)Hi Sharmilaks, My experience with glass is that it will scratch eventually and being such a high gloss marks will show. I would agree with DVG and have a look at Quartz Stone or Composite stone such brands as Compac, Quartz Forms, Diresco, Quarelle, Caesarstone, Arena stone, Uni Stone, Cimstone....See MoreHow to fix an under mount sink?
Comments (3)Hi. I hope the counter is thick enough to take the weight of the sink and water. atleast 25mm to drill in the undermount sink clips. Drill clips are available easy, you can look up Blanco and Franke EL undermount clips. If the counter is thin, you risk cracking while drilling, in which case it is better to use epoxy sink clips. A brand you can find in India is Solartime. They are expensive but you can get your local fabricator to make you a dozen clips and get them galvanised to prevent rusting. Do remember to apply silicone sealant between the undermount sink and the quartz generously. I know how you feel, things that are easily done in the west can be a pain to achieve in our country, especially places other than major cities....See MoreKitchen Sink Advice
Comments (1)Ankita, What are your deciding criteria. Stainless Steel, FRP, Quartz, Granite are some of the options. SS is used most commonly. Thanks Nitin.Cornerstone Designs....See MoreBest countertop for kitchen
Comments (3)It all depends on the budget you are looking at. As an architect i would give preference to granite over quartz any day. If your budget is INR 150-300 per sqft then go for south indian granites and if your budget is INR 500-1200 per sqft then go for Imported granite (Suggestions : Bianco Antico (in white), Blue Pearl (in dark blue-dark grey tone), Baltic brown : light+dark brown combination). As far as Kalinga quartz or any other brand quartz is concerned i find it not at all value for money, you'd end up spending INR 500+ sqft on something which is still in its experiment stage in India. The company is spending money on marketing and PR thats why new architects would promptly suggest quartz. I have heard enough complaints from home owners about quartz discoloration and bending. Fun fact : there is no warranty on any defects arising in quartz due to usage, which explains even the manufacturer of quartz dont want to take the responsibility of there own product. Reach me out if you need color advice for countertops. Thanks :)...See MoreJoseph Corlett, LLC
