Hi! To create the illusion that your space is even bigger than it actually is, there are many things that you can do. Two of my favorites are to hang your window treatments (blinds, curtains, etc) about 1-2 inches above the actual window molding, and incorporate mirrors. This will make your ceilings seem taller. Hi. I think you should put four blinds up, hung inside the windows, with curtains in the middle and on each side -- when the blinds are up you'll get a full view of your pretty windows. It's a pity to hide them. I'd keep the blinds quite simple so that you can use any fabric you like for the curtains.

Yes, moving the bed under the picture wall would be good, and provide space for a chair and ottoman as you mentioned. And i have actually put a new set to curtains today which is a slight brown colored one. And I was thinking about painting the walls with the picture and the one with cupboards in a dark red shade and the adjacent walls something between off white to cream color. I plan to change the floor tiling too, but not at the moment. I've been thinking of making it a wooden flooring. But not sure what color to use.

Take advantage of the asymmetrical quality of the window by placing diagonal fabric from one ceiling corner to the opposite floor corner and do the same on the other side, but do it at different heights. Another option is window treatment panels (over the entire wall) that look like screens. Put in search box Hunter Douglas skyline panels to see what they look like.
