Living room decor ideas
Comments (10)Hello Monika, I must say that concrete wall is fantastic! I see a large planter with a large leaved plant there.. I like Jonathan's idea, off white or shades of cream for the remaining walls and ceiling or even a subtle stone colour.. Then we need to talk textures! I think the sofa could work if you move it out a bit from the wall and layer it up with throws and add a couple of lovely cushions.. Warm woods would be nice too to balance the room.. Have you considered adding concrete to other areas of the home? There are some fantastic concrete chairs available both as a chair and bar stool.. Could be fabulous to compliment this room.. Cox and Cox did some pendant lights that were concrete with a warm edge detail.. You could create your own arrangement with a 5 wire ceiling rose and hooks.. A glass topped coffee table could be nice too.. Have a look at eBay or vintage shops.. Oh and one more thing... You can if you like the concrete wall find wallpaper for another room say that resembles what you have in the living room or even marble! It's fabulous and a feature you want to make the most out of! :))...See MoreWhat are the accents I can use with a bright yellow sofa?
Comments (5)Depends on what effect overall you want -- hot tropical feel (oranges and reds) or a bit more toned down? You can take inspiration from pictures of gardens with lime green heuchera or sweet potato -- often paired with chocolatey purple, silvery greens and blues....See Morewant suggestion
Comments (3)My first suggestion would be to change the layout of the room at bit. this is my suggestion:i also think that you should paint the room in a uniform light colour (preferable white) and also paint the wardrobe in the same colour so it doesn't overpower the entrance and blend in with the room. my second most important suggestion is to increase storage. here are some ideas for that: simple plank shelves with filing boxes and folders with labels can be a cheap and efficient way of storage of study material. here are some links for such folders and boxes: https://www.amazon.in/Elan-Bookshelf-Executive-Certificates-Certificate/dp/B00HWRHKOS/ref=pd_sbs_79_11?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=BQE8PBQNYQYXHHDEBAVQ https://www.amazon.in/Corpac-Multipurpose-Durable-Plastic-Storage/dp/B01GBBHT1E/ref=pd_sbs_229_40?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=1CC92M79MCJDPWBD53H9 https://www.amazon.in/Aristo-Basket-Medium-Without-Multi/dp/B06WGR811H/ref=pd_sim_229_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=JD75V1WW64930CV4NG69 Also the sunlight is the biggest asset of the room and yet the aluminium window is an eyesore. so i would suggest some nuetral shade curtains. and you can play with the colors of the room with the bedsheets. And agree with studio chippan's suggestion of a painting or a family portrait or frame certificates of the kids achievements. Best of Luck, Purva Saksena (Architect)...See MoreVertcal Garden idea
Comments (7)trellis and dirtt panels, water level pipes to water. So, you make a wooden structure, affix the pipes as well from top (or exclude this if you intend to spray water), fill the wooden frame with soil, compost, grass seeds and cover it with wire mesh gauze and fix it to the wall with fasteners. once your grass has grown. You can plant flowers too....See MoreEmbothrium
