Hi Ni, I just thought of something....did you say you planned to do the stencil motifs on the window wall? If so, I am thinking they will be mostly hidden by the curtains. I wonder if it might be better to stencil the long wall that is on the right side of the room when looking toward the window. I could see this being a pretty backdrop to the prayer box (I think that’s what you called it?) and your wood cuttings. Then maybe the opposite wall (the one with the kitchen doorway) could hold a large piece of art?

hi there, we plan to get kids room done for our 6.5 year old girl and looking for suggestions. Thinking of 2 wardrobe on the wall as suggested in the plan attached, with a sliding door to not block the passage between bed and wardrobe. A 6*4 bed with 2 partition storage,and a side table. A study on left of entrance with a slightly big desk, maybe a drawer and bit of storage either with a tall unit or some shelves. Looking for suggestions on colors combination for walls and woodwork. I have a preference of pastels,yellow and white and want to keep room bright for her but not over the top. Thanks in advance.

Buying a home that needs a lot of updating. We plan on painting the kitchen cabinets white or cream and installing granite countertops, new sink, new light fixtures, new stove vent, etc. The floor is hickory hardwood. My dilemma is the island. Should I keep it? Or remove it? If I keep it I am thinking of topping it with a dark butcher block to match the floor. I am open to any suggestions to make this kitchen better, without breaking the bank.
