A soft, warm grey shade would look lovely, and can be as dark or light as you want. A warmer shade will work with the brown stained wood floor, and the grey will complement the black granite. You could have an undertone of green, blue or tan if you didn't want a pure grey. And it would look nice with any silver metal hardware, either polished or satin/brushed, so you could choose pewter, chrome or nickel. It would still work with white trim too.

OK Vivek, that was a suggestion, it is manageable but please take your call. However, this 2 nd floor plan may need a discussion. Ideally, a kitchen meant for a studio and a 4 .5 bedroom house should not be of the same size. You may want to increase the size of kitchen looking at the size of 2nd and 3rd floor layouts. 'Pros' are that the finish looks sleek and seamless, especially when all the shutters are finished in the same colour. The 2 main 'cons' in the case of handle-less shutters is that 1. greasy finger marks can appear on the front face over a period of time. 2. there is a high probability of the user trying to pull at a shutter on the side where the hinge is. Handles allow the user to immediately see in which direction a shutter (or a pair of shutters) will open. If there are no handles, it is hard to tell and over a period of time the hinges could come loose. This is also the reason I don't fix the handles in the middle of the width. It was very fashionable to do that at one time, but it is just plain inconvenient

Hey Aleen, It is rather dark but it looks really pretty. Until you redo the kitchen, here are a few suggestions! Paint the lower cabinets white since they are sandwiched between two dark surfaces Paint the upper ones a beautiful pastel sage (I love you colour options BTW, the mushroom and sage sound blissful) and mushroom grey (really really REALLY light) on the walls You can lay down a light coloured and thin outdoor rug on the floor to make the space lighter add plants to liven up the space (could be faux!) Lastly, the little sliver of the wall on the left is a bit of an eyesore. Try painting it over (black or sage green) and if it doesn't look nice (I have my doubts) then hang something there, like a faux plant, or some other kitchen decor item.
