First, you need to sort out and arrange everything in a very clean and sophisticated manner. Second, use more of light and neutral colours as much as possible as it provides a very serene environment and makes rooms look bigger than they are. Use more of white and grey instead brown and black. That purple wall is also quite dull and boring. Third, replace your furniture if possible with more contemporary furniture's, when your furniture are clean and seamless they helps room look bigger. Fourth, Your ceiling is the worst part. Again go with crisp cut ceiling design if you want to do new or paint everything white if you want to retain it. Fifth, please don't use blue or any other colour lights.
