I just tried a SW stain ( they can match it in paint) called Cape Cod Red that had a definite orange undertone and a burnt orange appearance when painted on our door. I thought it might be my eyes because the color didn't really resemble the chip or this photo. Then I spilled most of a gallon in the back seat of my truck and my husband and I agreed: Nope, it's orange. It might be worth a try. It was a pretty color without falling into halloween territory. HU, People are different with each one having their personal choices. IMHO, Yellow color is a very energetic and not so calming a color. It makes you active and excited (kind of leaning towards aggression). If you are looking for calmness you should try softer, cosy colors in the bedrooms. Thanks, Nitin Cornerstone Designs Bangalore.
