The figurine is very nice and will fit in perfectly ,is that a knight behind the sofa? If it is it looks like its on hiding ,remove it from there and place it near an entrance or in a more visible corner. I'm looking at something red on the side is this a rug? If yes please open it up and show it on front of the sofa to see the colours in it . Remove the little table cloths from the tables and expose the wood . can you change the curtains or you need to stay with those ? I will find some ideas for you now. modern-pillows-

A combination of Offwhite, Beige Upholstery and dark shades of wood would look good. Provided you keep the wood minimal . The floor can also be a similar shade of wood . Remember whatever you do, make it look rich and elegant, only then will you be able to pull this look off. I am assuming the your ceiling is considerably high as well.
