I really depends where it's built and by who. In Texas, a home with the finishes shown in this photo may go for $125-150 per sq. ft. The materials used are clean and simple but not necessarily high end. There are no crown moldings or elaborate base moldings, the countertop material is a butcher block style wood (much cheaper than granite or other natural stone), and the light fixtures are pretty basic. The appliances look on the spendy side of things but you can always go a bit cheaper and flooring can also be chosen on a budget friendly scale.

I'm sure this particular home prices out on the higher end of the spectrum but if you work with a custom builder and show them some photos like this, I'm sure you could get materials and finishes similar to this at a more affordable price without sacrificing too much of the overall look.

Just took a few minutes to look though some of Archipelago's past work. Outstanding! You really have a great take on a clean and modern look that actually looks comfortable. Most modern designs I see have a certain sterile appearance that looks good but makes you feel like you shouldn't touch anything. Maybe it's the little island twist or something else in your secret sauce but whatever it is, your spaces seem very inviting. Nice work!
