About Us

Alexandra Rae Interior Design services Los Angeles, Malibu, Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Bel Air, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks and Santa Barbara. We specialize in high-end residential interiors, kitchen and bath remodels, window treatments, draperies and home furnishings. We get involved with projects as early as the conception stage, working closely with licensed architects, contractors, and other tradesmen. We work on a wide range of budgets; no project is too big or too small. We’ve designed properties from condos as small as 2000 square feet to estate homes. At our first conceptual meeting, we’ll browse through books and magazines and get a really strong sense of your tastes. We spend a lot of time discussing your specific needs, wants, and budget. Back in our studio, we get started on proposed architectural changes as well as concept boards with finish selections, light fixtures, furniture floor plans, paint, and window treatment designs. We work closely with you to devise the perfect design plan that suits your specific needs and budget.

I had no idea what to do with our place. Enter Alexandra Rae, and she nailed it. And she did part of it safely through the pandemic as well. Such carefully thought out furniture and fabrics that flow together and bring a sense of warmth as well as making the home so much more welcoming. And that was only for the downstairs. We are about to begin the upstairs and I couldn't be more confident that Alexandra will be doing it all. In fact, this time for the upstairs, I feel like I don't really even need to review much because she is just so spot on.

I found Alexandra on Houzz. One of her projects spoke to me and I reached out and we arranged an on-site consultation. She patiently listened to us and created something beautiful. We were melding our styles for the first time and she helped us navigate that process so well. It was a very personal process and we are so grateful that we found Alexandra. She is incredibly talented, has a wide range of design flexibility and takes the time to get to know her clients needs. We will be starting another project NEXT YEAR and she, of course, will be leading the team.

Simply put, I was looking for a way to use wicker chairs with my living room décor and ran across Alexandra's beach house design. Then, I just had to see more and looked through all of her projects. Alexandra Rae Design did beautiful work in my homes in Milwaukee and Fish Creek, Wi. She listened to my ideas so everything feels personal but brought a level of style I never could've envisioned. She was a delight to work with and has now helped many of my friends who all have been very happy with her work. She worked within our budget and handled a few construction surprises and delays with aplomb.

We worked with Alexandra Rae Design on a near-complete house makeover in 2014. We are thrilled with our home and really love all of the ideas Alexandra presented to us and carried out. We were working with her long-distance, from her base in California to our home in Colorado. The distance posed some communication challenges at times, but we were able to overcome those by use of Skype, detailed email, etc.

Alexandra has a great sense of style which shows in my own living room she helped me redo. She listened to my thoughts and ideas and incorporated them with hers. My living room was a small project but nevertheless had to be challenging for her since I had a small budget which she was respectful of. I absolutely love what Alexandra did to update and freshen up the space and look forward to working with her again in the future!
