We hired actLab to renovate our apartment – specifically to rethink current use of space and create a feeling of openness. Scope of work included kitchen and dining room (reconfiguring layout, built-ins, expandable dining table), entryway/mudroom, bathroom, media room, office, and enclosing a loft space to create a kids’ bedroom. Aya has an impeccable eye for detail, flow, and functionality and designed a modern yet warm space within a very firm budget. Our apartment looks and feels significantly larger, with room to grow for our family of 4 – exactly what we wanted. Aya and team were a pleasure to work with – very professional and collaborative, with a strong problem-solving approach. I would definitely work with them again.

Aya of actLAB was amazing to work with. She listened to our needs and designed for us a beautiful and bright contemporary live-work studio that works well for me and my family. We love the custom millwork and the reading nook they created for us. The actLAB team went beyond their roles and helped us furnish, arrange our art collection and create a special play space for our son.
