We used JCJ after various recommendations. Absolutely terrible. We paid almost £10,000 to have our bathroom tanked to solve a damp problem and since then we have had to call JCJ back to the property over 4 or 5 times due to issues, leaking pipes e.t.c. Communication is terrible (not turning up when they say they will, ignoring calls, ignoring emails) and our bathroom still has a serious damp issue with mould growing everywhere. Last time JCJ came we were assured the problems would finally be solved. The problems most certainly are not resolved but I don't think I can face calling them back again and being stood up and lied to. Honestly, I would avoid this company at all costs. A terrible source of stress for us over the last 10 months.

We are absolutely delighted with the extension which JCJ have built for us. We engaged them initially as we felt they were a professional team, interested in creating a high end product with the care and attention necessary for an old property. Adam is enthusiastic and easy to talk to and given the detailing involved, his quote was competitive, if not the very cheapest. We have not been disappointed! The JCJ organisation structure works well for building novices such as ourselves, particularly having a dedicated site manager and using the online Buildertrend for monitoring stage payments. Given that we were living and working on site for the duration of the build, it was a pleasure to have Alec, all his team and all the subcontractors around. They were all good humoured and ready to listen. Inevitably we had a few issues to resolve, especially with the connection to the old timber-framed building, but these were dealt with swiftly with alternative strategies agreed and carried out to our satisfaction. From May to November 2017 we engaged JCJ Construction to help us renovate and extend our family home. The project was completed on time and the process from start to finish was professional and well managed.
