We just completed building our new home and had a fantastic experience with Colleen Dawson, interior designer and owner of Raye Designs. She and her team led by Averie Harris were EXCEPTIONAL. The custom build and design were inspired by Colleen and her team. Starting with the 3D images and video design renderings of the home were amazing. Every detail in the home is phenomenal and executed to perfection. She has an exceptional eye for style and design. We are thrilled with the work from Raye Designs and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I seriously would NOT consider this firm to do business with. After paying them over $2000 for some preliminary work, I chose to wait little in order to further evaluate and find a builder. I contacted them in mid December to finish the work, Colleen told me that her family is ill and would contact me in early January. Today she sent me an email that she is extremely busy and not able to finish the work. At this point, after paying her over $2000 I have to find a new designer and start all over again. This is very unfortunate and unprofessional

Dear Shawn,
I am very sorry for your stress. Raye design never had the intension of causing you any unnecessary worry. As I stated in my previous email to you...we are happy to share our current drawing files/CAD drawings with who ever you choose to proceed with regarding your renovation. There are many changes and structural issues that you would like addressed. During your break to recap your plans our schedule filled so much that we were unable to take on any further work with you at this time. We did not have a written contract with you and delivered on any and all plans that you asked of us at the time of hire. Reviewing past invoices I show a paid invoice of from you for $1,250.00... not seeing where the remaining money you are stating was paid? That being said, I am very sorry again that you feel as though we did not follow through. Best of luck with your renovation and all the best!

We love collaborating with Raye Design and her team. She has been great from initial concepts to placing the final piece of furniture. One of the best compliments we can give her is that she always puts the clients first and is always looking after their best interested. Extremely easy and professional to work with and looking forward to working with her on future projects.

Colleen has been very instrumental in designing our home to fit us perfectly. She has provided us with a great foundation of beautiful and interesting design in which we can build on and add our own personal touches to. Colleen was wonderful to work with--this was our first big remodel job done with a designer and we gave her a few headaches! She handled everything with patience and grace, spending lots of time listening to our needs and wants and definitely went the extra mile to make sure and complete the job, working until we were satisfied with every little detail. I deeply appreciated her sense of humor and willingness to get to know us as people and how we wanted the things that were important to us to show through in our home. She has a great natural gift for style but is not intimidating in her expression of it. We were more than pleased with the finished project and are currently working with her again on our kitchen remodel--St. Gianna help her! :)

Colleen is more than a designer, she was a life saver with our home! Helping us with every detail made the building process SO easy and enjoyable for a change. Colleen picked up on my "style" immediately and the finished product is better than what I ever expected it to be. It is simply gorgeous! It's worth every penny to have a designer, especially one that clearly knows every angle of design. We are currently finishing our lower level and changed this up with design and she nailed it once again!
