As A General Contractor working with designers over the years I have a good idea of the ones to work with and to shy away from. Barbie and I work well together she always has A great attitude, listens, has great ideas and knows how to design a project from start to finish. When handed the final package I have specifications of all items associated with the project and a spread sheet for each room to clearly describe my scope of work. I would highly recommend Barbie Burch and Roost Design Hale for any of your up and coming projects.

We hired Barbie for our kitchen/bathroom/laundry/living room remodel and are so so happy with the results! She nailed everything from our vision and blew our minds with design thoughts that we would have never thought of ourselves. Her taste is refreshing and authentic, and she encouraged us to express ourselves through our choices while guiding us along the way. She brings forth unique yet doable ideas that I feel like other designers would not provide. She is also very knowledgeable on various construction details, like can you move stove tops and ovens and plumbing etc, which was nice because had we tried to do anything ourselves we would have been stuck with original home layout, and our final product is so much more amazing. She was quick to order things/schedule contractors and was easy to work with throughout the entire process! So grateful for her and will be using her for phase two of our project soon!

Bad taste and worse service. We gave her tons of feedback to get on the same page aesthetically . But rather than propose different looks, she tried to pass us off to another designer and kept our money. Never had a problem like this with other designers. Pretty shocking behavior.

We, too, were frustrated that your North Hollywood decorating project did not work out as planned. Barbie took my dark and faded kitchen and transformed it to a beautiful place to cook. She was very responsive to the project and worked well with the contractor.

I hired Studio Palomino to design, project manage and decorate the 2019 renovation of my kitchen and master/guest bathrooms. Additionally the firm oversaw the painting of our entire interior and an overhaul of the furnishings in several rooms. I chose the firm because its eclectic, casual yet sumptuous style and sensibility totally dovetailed with mine, and I appreciated the proprietor’s (Barbie Palomino) low-key yet decisive manner. The entire project was complete in a little more than 6 months and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The contractor she chose was also top-notch and extremely easy and responsive to work with. She always presented a variety of options in a range of budget levels and price points, focusing on my taste and preferences, rather than one standard style, all while guiding me to making the best, and often delightfully unexpected, choice! For expert, confident design and execution, Studio Palomino is a wonderful choice!
