Terrible customer service and way overpriced. We spent around $100k with this supplier, as instructed by the crooked builder who is friends with their salesman. They treated us with complete disrespect: Sold us "pine flooring" which we were not even given a choice or able to preview and it actually appears to be plywood. For what we paid, we could have had premium hardwood flooring. It was installed improperly and now has to be torn out and replaced, 3 years later. We filled out a credit application, using their lending institution which we already had a relationship with, both as customers in excellent standing and as a business owner representing the lender. ECL dragged their feet in processing the application and finally informed us that our credit was "turned down" and that they did not want to do business with us (after already spending $100k) because we "have bad credit"! Credit scores in the mid 800's is not "bad" at all! When we contacted the lender, they said that they absolutely did not "turn down" our application. They immediately sent out the credit card with ECL printed on the front! Of course, we would never use that card to purchase even one stick of lumber. This whole process delayed the building of our disastrous house by over a month and cost us several thousand dollars. I don't know what's wrong with these people but, it was a very unpleasant, strange and costly experience for us.

We use East Chattanooga Lumber for many of our kitchen and bath projects. They are an excellent local source for trim and molding. We are proud to partner with them for a new printed door program now being offered. We highly recommend them and appreciate their excellent customer service and product knowledge !
