About Us

In 1933, Dean Home Supply + Service Co., began as a sawmill in St. Mary's County, MD. For generations, both our skills and our passions have been honed. Our old school, genuine woodworkers build with their hands and their hearts. It’s something that’s just in us. Every job gets the same attention to detail that they did over 80 years ago. We take our time to make sure that every project is not only done right, but is also done with great care and impeccable skill.

They've treated me well over the last 36 years. I've done countless remodels and a couple of houses with their products. One of the remaining 'old school' local building supply companies that can teach the big chain stores a thing or two.

This was one of many projects by Dean Lumber and Supply. Our fireplace mantel was custom made of Birch wood and stained to match our family room color/decor. Actually, the finished mantel exceeded my expectations. Installation (to include an Aveo fireplace) was painless, our deadline was met, and the price met our budget for this project. Dean Lumber & Supply has always been professional and exceeded all our expections. We will continue to use Dean Lumber and Supply for all our renovation projects.
