About Us

I have specialized in the design/remodel of kitchens and bathrooms since 2009. I absolutely love the dramatic changes you can make to a home in these two key rooms. With the open floor plans of many homes today, I have been asked to step out of the kitchen and bath arena and design/remodel master bedrooms, guest bedrooms, children's bedrooms, dining rooms, great rooms, living rooms, sun rooms, entertainment rooms, basements and outdoor spaces. I now have a full provider chain for any room project. I love designing, but more than that I love how my customers become my friends. Most of my customers work with me year after year as we move through their home creating spaces that grow and change as their families grow and change. I'm working more and more with home owners who may want to sell after three to five years so I can consult on what changes will appeal to home buyers. Take a moment and browse my portfolio. Jeri did a great job and had attention to detail. She was very patient with all the requests and was able to modify the many changes we made throughout the process. Our bathroom renovation is almost complete and it's looking great so far.

We have a townhome that was built in 2004 that had cherry floors on the main floor, which included cherry kitchen cabinets - all very traditional. We had a vision of making it more contemporary but needed Jeri to make it a reality. She changed the footprint of our kitchen, stripped the floors, enlarged the island, incorporated new appliances and new paint on the entire main floor with new light fixtures. She was great to work with, recognizing our vision and our ideas as well as introducing her own ideas to help see our vision through. We still love our kitchen/main floor very much and are happy that we pulled away from traditional to a more contemporary look. We plan to use Jeri in the future to complete some more work.

Jeri worked with us on our kitchen remodel when we changed our countertops to granite. I like the way she directed us without making our decisions for us. When we had questions she always had the answers. I was amazed when we had a counter door to install and in her purse she had the correct hinges !! I intend to work with her further as we get closer to selling our home. She is very patient and thoughtful. What a treasure she is !!!!

Jeri has done a fantastic job with several projects in my home. We started with a Master Bathroom remodel, and have moved on to our Master Bedroom and Kitchen. She is extremely detailed oriented and hands on. She has made a point of being present when her subs or contractors are working in my house. I feel that her expertise in areas of design, construction and engineering has made our remodeling projects proceed smoothly without the surprises homeowners sometimes encounter. Jeri is respectful of my taste. She never pushes me into an aesthetic I am not comfortable with in my home. I highly recommend Jeri and By Design LLC. We wanted to do a minor remodel/update of our kitchen - counter tops, back splash, cupboard crown molding and new island cabinets. We had an idea of the look we wanted ( photos from magazines ) and Jeri helped us realize the look within our budget! The contractors she used were always courteous ( and skilled!) and Jeri always showed up with them to outline what was required and was always available when some "design" or other issue arose - we didn't have to fend for ourselves!! Jeri is great fun to work with, always happy to discuss or revisit choices when you have those "extra ideas"! She gives you her undivided attention and I would highly recommend working with her.
