Modern Citi Group (MCG) recently completed our renovation for a one bedroom apartment, which included a full renovation of the bathroom and kitchen along with other cosmetic changes throughout the apartment. We contracted with MCG in July 2022 and were impressed with their organized system for selecting the scope of the renovation (material selection, projected outcomes, etc.) We worked closely with Daniil and his team. Overall, the apartment looks great and adheres closely to the planned renovation.

Use Modern Citi! I was hard pressed to find a licensed general contractor in NYC who will meet all my requests and getting the full house renovation done by Modern Citi Group was the best decision I've made. These guys are honest, helpful and made the remodeling process go seamless as much as possible. I’ve done my estimating request on their website (which is pretty easy to fill and it only took me 5-10 min to complete it). Later that day I had a conversation with Anna from MCG. She displays both professionalism and amiability. Moreover, Anna spended around an hour answering all my questions and helping me to schedule a walkthrough. I had the pleasure of meeting my project manager Daniil on the walkthrough. He took great care of all the details we discussed and in a week his team prepared a very detailed spreadsheet of work, costs and timing. Once the project started I received an excess to the app where I could see all the work they’ve completed each day and what's left. So, there is no strong reason to come to the jobsite, I can see the progress through the phone app by daily updates. Still, after the demolition I appeared numerous times and everytime was highly impressed how clean and tidy the worksite was. I have to say, the renovation wasn't cheap. However, everything that needed fixing or attention was taken care of by remodeling contractor Modern Citi Group. As a first-time renovator, I didn't have much experience or knowledge about the process of choosing materials or designs, so my advice would be to have a clear understanding of what you want before starting the project. The design team at MCG was excellent in offering suggestions and recommendations. All-in-all, after seeing the final outcome, I couldn't find a single flaw in the job done. The work is remarkable! I’m glad that Modern Citi was done my home renovation! Highly recommended!

My husband and I contacted many licensed general contractors via Yelp. We chose Modern Citi Group in the end because of their incredible customer service! Daniil and Anna went above and beyond during the process to ensure that our apartment remodeling project was exactly what we envisioned. They were professional, super responsive and knowledgeable. They worked around the clock with us. The best part is that they took care of everything, including our co-op board package submission, designs renderings, architectural drawings, material selection, etc. We had a great team guiding us though the entire renovation process from the day we called until the final walkthrough. They advised us on a better layout option that we ended up using, and design decisions that were hard to make, such as best paint colors, coordinating matching fixtures, etc. Kitchen and bathroom design feature similar tones so look very uniform and stylish, couldn’t be happier! So the funny thing about this review is that it took longer to write than it took contractor Modern Citi Group to bid and finish the job! Daniil and his team Modern Citi are AWESOME at their job and very adaptable when it comes to unexpectable curveballs! In a way, Daniil is that rare contractor who truly looks at the big picture of it all and cares about little detail along the way. Daniil and designer Viktoriya were extremely helpful making sure I got exactly what I wanted. So, there is no ambiguity when getting things done. In the middle of 2021, I had just purchased a new apartment in Midtown Manhattan that needed some renovations done. I initially contacted Modern Citi Group to remodel my guest bathroom and bathroom in the master bedroom. After I got remodeling visualization from their design team, I realized I wanted to keep my apartment in one fresh look. Then I started adding other projects, which included installing a new floor in the entire apartment, patching drywall (after I decided to soundproof walls over the apartment after we found out that they were practically paper thin), wall painting, and replacing the lighting fixtures in my master bedroom. Throughout the duration of construction and remodeling with Modern Citi Group 100% of work was well done. They made it feel like such an easy, breezy process and if you want to be safe, do it with Modern Citi Group and let Daniil and his crew handle it for you. I received timely updates on the schedule and payments. Everything was itemized and related to the initial estimates. They are honest and fully transparent, and will not let you down in this area if this is the route you’d like to go. In short, I give Daniil and his team my highest commendation for how professional they are. Five starts! Ten out of ten!

So, it seems fair to add another 5 star review for them - they deserve it. After double checking on google and Houzz, I noticed that Modern Citi Group is the type of construction company I would like to work with to renovate my bathroom in the really old building from the 70's in Queens. On my first call we schedule a walk-through meeting with a project manager Matvei. He organized all my wants based on the budget we agreed and presented to me in a very detailed estimate right on the next day. We continued to communicate and discuss the final changes for a few more days and I ended up signing a contract with home remodeling contractor Modern Citi Group for a full bathroom remodel. I especially liked the communication with Matvei, as he always was quick to respond throughout the project. He and his designers team also helped with material selection and explained the process thoroughly throughout the entire time. Moreover, what I like best is that project manager Matvei really keeps me informed as the job progresses and is really hands on with the entire process. Residential Contractor Modern Citi Group knows how to take care of all your needs! I found them through positive Yelp reviews as well as from a neighbor in Bronx referral who’d done the same. It was a pleasure to work with these professionals. Our project manager Artem creative design ideas are outstanding and truly "out of the box". Besides, he picked and ordered all the material, even the kitchen appliances which are perfectly matched. When our kitchen remodeling project turned to demolition and painting, kitchen contractor MCG took care of covering all my furniture. Moreover, they did a great job installing new cabinets, the backsplash and countertops. Everything looks so good and brand new. I can't believe this is the same home! No less important thing during this difficult time, the company is following all precautions. All workers from licensed contractor Modern Citi Group followed the social distancing guidelines and they all wore masks at all times. I own a medical office in Brooklyn and we hired Modern Citi Group for a full office Remodel. Our office was very dated and we were in desperate need of renovation. We felt like updating the office would look better but also help office morale, inspire our team and cut down on turnover. The team at Modern Citi Group was very detail oriented and easy to work with. Everyone seemed really smart and on the ball. I felt like we were in good hands from the beginning. Having said that, we didn't know what the final product would look like until the end. They had to take it down to build it up but when the office was finished we were so happy! The engineers were nice to work with and brought a lot of education to our whole team. Handled adversity well, finished everything on schedule and under budget which I thought was a miracle. We’ve hired licensed contractor Daniil for our home remodeling in Staten Island a few month ago. He is full of integrity, he’s honest, punctual, and is creatively competent. All staff from renovation contractor Modern Citi Group were very knowledgeable and made the whole process go smoothly. Modern Cit Group design crew took our old looking bathrooms and made them look like a luxury hotel bathrooms complete with all the beautiful amenities: custom tile, jacuzzi, steam shower, new toilets all beautifully and perfectly installed by Modern Citi Group team. We had issue with our wood floor as it was squeaking in certain parts of the living room and kitchen area. We also had a leak under our sink and the floor and the cabinets where all damaged and moldy. We explained to project designers our wishes and issues. They helped us design the kitchen area and made a visual representation of it so we can see which was really great. Modern Citi Group have done with new tile floor in the kitchen and wood floor in living room area, finished wall painting and installed new modern custom kitchen cabinets with marble countertop. Further, they took our girls 10' x 10' x 16'h room and completed update it by all finishing works. You will be in really good hands hiring these guys. Got super lucky and found them on Yelp.

No longer ago we rent more space for our office on the same floor to make more work spaces and hire more people. So, in the order to connect two offices in one we needed to tear down the wall. We completely gutted the inside of our 4,000 square foot office space and we were fortunate to have General Contractor Daniil and Modern Citi Group by our side. Our goal was find one of the best licensed general contractor in our local area (Midtown Manhattan), who would be able to complete commercial office renovation as fast as it possible within no losing quality. We interviewed at least 10 New York remodeling contractors. Each encounter seemed like a speed dating interview and it felt so overwhelming. However, I can’t say the same about General Contractor Daniil from Modern Citi group. He really listened to us and actually took measurements and notes (unlike most other contractors). From the get go, Daniil and his architect were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Once the building department approved our plane we started construction. His entire crew, starting with the demo people and ending with painters, ceilings and floors finishes is extremely professional, kind and considerate. Overall, they add more private close rooms for meetings and more additional private open work spaces. Now, all our employees have their private space with separate tables. Daniil and his project manager kept us in the loop at all times. In the end of the whole month intensive everyday work, Modern Citi Group have done the renovation and we finally back to office routine. It is an absolute joy to be in! We admire the skill and attention to detail. I would say we have no doubts that choosing Modern Citi Group to be our general contracting company was the best decision we could have made.

I am quite sure I hired a magician home remodeling contractor in New York because this man from Modern Citi Group and his team are 100% magic! My building in Queens was built in the 1990s and had a bathroom was never remodeled. I wanted it to be completely gutted and redone and I knew it would be a major undertaking. According to my plan I began to search for a right person to had a general contracting with. My close friend recommended to give a call to one of the local bathroom remodeling contractor Modern Citi Group. Next day I met with renovation contractor Daniil and he drew up preliminary plans for a brand new bathroom remodeling. I also understood that I would need a good designer to fulfill all my needs. After our first meeting, Daniil met me with his designer and project manager. The original design of the bathroom was kind of that pinky/beige marble that was really popular in the 90's and was kind of hip/classic at the time. Well I must say after 3 contractors we finally found a company that's honorable, reliable AND knows what they're doing!! Our nightmare started back in February when our dishwasher sprung a leak and ruined our laminate floors and decided to replace the floors with real wood and also remodel kitchen and lighting system. We live in a condo in Queens so there are rules and regulations to follow and that's excluding the city codes. Licensed contractor Daniil from Modern Citi Group in New York put me at ease and truly made the process as seamless as possible. From the inception - when I called there was someone on the line ready to take a call. We were fortunate to find General Contractor Daniil and his guys from Modern Citi Group for our home remodeling in Staten Island. Daniil was always on site supervising (unlike other general contractors we worked with previous) and would always be available to answer any questions or discuss any ongoing concerns with the construction. Daniil is a wonderful person to work with. He is thoughtful, efficient and organized, but also honest, trust-worthy and committed to quality. Throughout the project Daniil and his crew added small details and finishes that were out of the scope of the project but dramatically improved the final product. He also created a wonderful interior design for us which we extremely love. Moreover, Daniil helped to find and order all new furniture for living and dining room and new cabinets for our kitchen. Our remodel consisted of kitchen remodeling, dinning room and living room complete renovations. In addition to the extension we updated electrical, plumbing to remodeled and created the newly designed interior layout to finish demolition part and paint. Modern Citi Group team finished demolition process very quickly and installed new flooring. They also change countertop to granite and install new sink, faucet and range hood. After all, project turned to assembly furniture and installed all appliances. After long, exhausting search we got referred to Daniil and picked Modern Citi Group from other home remodeling contractors for our bathroom and kitchen remodel in Midtown West. I always thought renovation is a dirty and disturbing process which we just had to go through, but it turned out to be the opposite. From our first walk through with Daniil to the day we had our kitchen and bathroom completed - everything went as planned, and most importantly everyone on the crew seemed to be very respectful to our apartment. As part of a full bathroom remodel Modern Citi group replaced floor and wall tile, did waterproofing, replaced water lines and shut off valves as required by the building management, shower body was entirely replaced with a new shower system, new recessed lighting controlled by dimmer switch, new deep bathtub, toilet, vanity with a dropdown sink and widespread faucet, wall mirror and finally the ugly popcorn ceiling was gone. During the kitchen remodel, all cabinets were replaced, new quartz countertop installed, leveling the flooring, soundproofing and tiling , backsplash installation, all plumbing and electrical work completed. We interviewed tens of contractors, but not many of them could handle general contracting effectively, like we felt Modern Citi Group would. Now when the remodeling is fully completed, few important things to point out: good communication; professionalism and respect from all crew members; attention to details, creative solutions, on time completion, and not taking advantage with change orders for everything that came up during demolition stage and the rest of remodeling process. I remodeled my small kitchen (10x10) in mid-December and tore down the wall and opened it up into the dining room. Daniil was my main contact person. I could tell the passion of knowledge this young man has. My every question was answered with honesty. Modern Citi Group team set to work immediately after we organized the whole project with Daniil. They gutted the kitchen and installed new floor tile, backsplash, cabinets, new bar counter and recessed lighting. The transformation of my new kitchen was amazing! I had my bathroom remodeled by this company. Hired them because they came highly recommended by my family friends . We proceeded within three weeks from the initial walk through. Timing was the most important thing to me as I only have one bathroom in my apartment. Despite the holidays, they were able to meet the deadline. That is what's the most impressive to me. The bathroom itself looks fantastic. They really invested a lot of effort and quality workmanship into it. Definitely recommend this company to everyone.

We met with several contractors to remodel our bathroom before we decided to proceed with Modern Citi Group. They were very knowledgeable and creative when it came to the design. We picked the materials, colors and appliances so quickly, like they just sent it to me item by item and every thing was just exactly what I wanted. There was obviously some minor difficulties during the renovation, but the project manager was always there to solve it before me even knowing and stressing. Hired this company for my kitchen renovation. Daniel was very easy to work with. What I liked the most is the communication that he and his team had with me.
