Over the last four years, Claire has helped us with projects in the kitchen, living room, dining room, and bathroom, (oh and exterior paint!) and her keen eye; amazing color sense; incredible warmth, kindness, sense of humor, and patience; as well as her design saavy and skills make her an AMAZING person to work with. We not only finished almost a complete redecoration with her and LOVE how beautiful, calm and fun our house feels, we had fun along the way. Claire takes her work seriously but stays above the fray when it comes to marital disagreement over choices, and her ease with people feels as valuable as her seeming "sixth sense" of what is going to look good. When we wanted "tell us what to do!", she was willing, and when she could tell we were close to making a decision on our own, she pulled back and offered support...her work approach is almost like a dance in that way. Not to mention, she gave us some fantastic ideas, pointed us to some stores we didn't know, and measured/drew a plan that let us work on our own when she wasn't around or when we simply wanted to go it alone.

Claire did a fantastic job of taking our ideas and hopes for our project and updating them to the current world of home design. She helped us to consider the larger picture, showing us how to identify what best resonated with not only the furniture and styles we were drawn to, but with our lifestyle and what would actually work in our small 1919 home. Claire helped me reimagine and furnish my guest room - furniture, rug, TV, lighting, and bedding. Everyone who stays in it raves about how beautiful and comfortable the room is. Claire was attentive to my esthetic preferences, my budget, and schedule. She made everything very easy for me. I am planning several more home projects in which she will be involved. Claire helped us with a kitchen and bathroom remodel. We could not have done this without her. She helped us pick all of the finishes, kept track of the orders and made sure everything was on site when needed. Her eye for detail is excellent and her taste was fabulous. We love our kitchen and bathroom and although the remodel was long and arduous it would have been so much more difficult if we had not had Claire's help. Claire creatively, resourcefully, and brilliantly designed our living room/dining room remodel. We began with an awkwardly shaped and rarely used living room space with no overhead lighting, which we wanted to transform into a light, airy, and practical space to play, socialize, and relax. We needed to take flow into account because the space is truly the entrance to our home too. Working with Claire was a breeze. She is organized, efficient, prompt, and thoughtful. She has great ideas and is able to both give an idea, and let you take it or leave it with flexibility. I would love to hire Claire again for future projects.

Claire did a fantastic job partnering with us on a bathroom remodel. She made excellent recommendations to tie the room together, design choices for tiles and fixtures, and helped to interface and manage the project between our GC and various sub contractors. Claire Taylor asked me what I wanted in my kitchen remodel and delivered way more than I would have dreamed. Through slight modification suggestions, like using a kitchen island, instead of a peninsula, she created a beautiful working space for us. She chose just the right green color for our walls so that our outdoor woodsy view seems to come right inside. She chose a dramatic kitchen granite that fit our personalities. I had an emergency color disaster on the front door, and she came right over and solved it, with her grace and good naturedness. From the details of the kitchen storage and drawer selection to the layout and design, Claire had excellent suggestions that fit our family taste. My kitchen came well within my modest budget. The few friends who have been inside talk about the Wow factors in our kitchen. Now my nephew wants to come over and cook for us in our kitchen!

I reached out to Claire just as we broke ground on a major basement remodel, which coincided with a new job and the nation-wide shut-down due to Covid. I was completely overwhelmed, but still deeply skeptical about using a designer. I didn't want to pay someone to pressure us into buying to-the-trade, super high end, furnishings -- which, I am sure, our two young children would make fast work of. After my first call with Claire, I knew I had found a real partner for our project. Claire has amazing taste, and the project turned out beautifully. Just as important, she is super easy going, pleasant with absolutely everyone she engages with, and willing to scale the project to our lifestyle and budget. Whenever I turned something over to Claire, I did so with full confidence. I can't recommend her highly enough.

We had timely help from Claire early on in the coronavirus pandemic picking colors for four rooms, and for the exterior of our home. We found Claire to be both friendly and knowledgeable and we were very comfortable interacting with her. Although we ended up revising her recommendations for our exterior house color, we come to our happy solution by bouncing off what she recommended, and we can say we never would have ended up where we did without her input. The interior rooms have all worked out beautifully, and we particularly liked that Claire helped us make both conservative and bold choices.
