About Us

Gunlock Homes is a full service home builder and general contractor of fine custom houses in Denver's highly desirable neighborhoods, including Country Club, Hilltop, Cherry Hills Village, Wash Park, Platt Park, Observatory Park, Belcaro, and Cory Merrill. We are experts in building single-family homes as well as large, custom renovations such as pop-tops and multi-story additions. As a Class C Residential Contractor in the city and county of Denver, owner Brad Gunlock personally plans and manages each project to ensure that the craftsmanship and pricing meet his exacting standards. My wife and I have looked at some of the homes Brad Gunlock has built in the Denver area and the quality of craftsmanship is far beyond any other builder we have seen over the past 40 years in buyng homes. If and when we have out next home built we will contact Brad and only Brad to be the builder.

I am an architect who has worked with Gunlock Homes on several occasions. Brad Gunlock, the general contractor and owner of Gunlock Homes, is completely focused on providing the highest construction quality possible for his residential customers. He has developed a wide range of experienced and highly-skilled subcontractors, runs his business efficiently, and consistently stays on schedule which results in lower construction costs. As an architect, I know I can trust Gunlock Homes with our mutual desire to keep our customers satisfied.

Brad has provided impeccable service from the very beginning of our project. His schematic budgets helped guide our design and help define the final scope of work through a collaborative design-assist approach with our architect MTW. His attention to detail and the quality of the final installation is superb. Just as important to us as the finished product, Brad's customer service and personal touch throughout the project have made it a rewarding experience.

Brad and his crew remodeled 2 bathrooms, painted, remodeled my back yard and patio area, and leveled a back room and stairs. Basically, they took some problems of a home built in 1905, made the interior even more unique, while respecting the age and the quality of the original home. I would hire Brad for any further changes I might make in my home! He is incredibly easy to work with and his integrity and professionalism are incomparable.

Brad Gunlock and I have worked on two single family house projects in the Washington Park neighborhood. As a general contractor he was very thorough, professional and comfortable to deal with. Whenever questions arose he could always be counted on to do the right thing. The projects were both finished elegantly thanks to his keen eye and attention to details. We had several unique energy-conserving, passive and active solar features in one of the projects which required meeting LEED standards. Even though these details were challenging, their execution was taken in stride. Overall, the results were excellent.

We are a family-owned "fix and flip" business and have worked with Brad Gunlock on several renovations of Denver bungalows, including complete plumbing and electrical systems, HVAC, new roofs, basements, kitchens and baths remodeling, All of the finished projects looked wonderful and sold in no time. Brad has also built several new houses in our neighborhood with great success. We would recommend Brad to anyone looking for a contractor, and we also like him a lot personally.

I recently added a second story to my 1920's bungalow and was very pleased with my choice to hire Gunlock Homes. Brad and his subcontractors were so great to work with and I recommend them to anyone that is looking to do a home remodel small or big. The project was completed to my satisfaction and on time!

I hired Gunlock Homes to remodel my home. The crew was very respectful and speedy. Working with Brad was a positive experience; he was nice, responsive, and has very good ideas. Remodels are stressful enough so working with an experienced and patient contractor made the process that much better!
