Jim Brennen / Design On a Dime: Is the most professional contractor in the Quinte Area I have ever come across. Jim has turned my place from a dungeon into a place I can be very proud of! Jim, has now spoiled us for future contractors. It will be hard to top Jim's attention to detail, professionalism and knowledge. He is a great guy, very easy to talk to and be around. Any concerns or questions we had were dealt with or answered honestly and respectfully. He was courteous and hard working and able to do all the necessary repairs, and also quickly took on other tasks as they arose. It was a pleasure to have him working in our home. We would enthusiastically recommend Jim, especially to those wary of contractors. Jim worked efficiently, cleaned up after the job and did an excellent job. I love my new basement!! I have hired Jim and his team to do small odd jobs around the house and yard; and also for my small business. He has also taken the time to give me quotes on larger jobs I would like to have done in the future so I can budget for them. What I love most about Jim, is that I can tell he treats me and my small projects the same as he does his big dollar projects. He's dependable, on time, fair, courteous, kind, caring and is willing to do the small silly projects and I really appreciate that. Now he'll be booked for my bigger projects too since he's won me over with the great job he has done for me on previous projects. He's a great guy, and I look forward to future projects with him! We have worked with Design on a Dime Renovations several times now on various projects. All the work that has been done as requested and looks absolutely fantastic. We were even away on vacation one time and found out that our basement had flooded. We called Jim from the Caribbean and he assisted in every detail and fixed the the extensive damages. We have also hired Jim for another project of ours that is coming up. Jim and his staff is the only ones we would consider to do any and all renovations for us.

We hired Design on a Dime to finish our unfinished basement. They made our space functional and beautiful all for a fair price. Jim was very easy to approach along the way with any design changes. The bedroom area had many challenges such as it contained the water main and meter and the sump hole. Jim built a beautiful bench area with a top that opened for access to conceal all this. The work area was cleaned and tidied at the end of each day.
