June Walk Design

We had an amazing experience working with Anu on the interior design and related execution work in our new apartment. She demonstrated a solid attention to detail, refined design sensibilities, a balance between aesthetics & practicality and unparalleled ownership right from the start to the end of the project. She continuously worked backwards from our lifestyle and design aspirations, ensuring that the end result was a home that is not just a visual representation of our design preferences but is also extremely functionally aligned to our lifestyle. She also was a valuable guide all throughout the execution process, spending countless hours on the site to ensure perfect finishes and guiding us on the more technical aspects of interior decoration- materials, finishes, fittings etc. Her continuous presence on the site and relentless attitude ensured that the contractor delivered a quality output on time. All throughout the project - the communication, adherence to committed schedules & budgets and quality of delivered output were top notch! I rate our experience with June Walk design 10/10.

When I was about to get possession of my apartment, I was frantically looking for an interior designer. However, I wasn’t looking for run of the mill “interior designers” who simply bring together a combination of services such as carpentry, masonry etc but not a vision of bringing them all together artistically. I wasn’t looking to hire those large scale interior design companies either as their processes are very templatised so again they tend to deliver more of the same. I was looking for someone who is reasonably fresh in the profession so whatever he/she lacks in experience makes up in enthusiasm but also brings the right amount of knowledge and artistic flair. After a lot research I chanced upon Anu’s Instagram page and upon contacting, I learnt that she was yet to launch her company then but she decided to take on the project as her first project. Despite initial reluctance, I decided to go ahead with Anu, as she seemed very passionate about doing it. A decision, at no point during the project, I regretted during the project, despite several ups and downs in the project. At the end of the project, I was in fact very proud with my decision as the house turned out extremely well, more than what I had in my mind. Anu was so thorough with her planning, keeping a track of the project remotely (as I lived overseas) became a lot easier. She struck a perfect balance of incorporating my ideas (within my budget) for what I like but also clearly objecting to what wouldn’t work. She has put together the place very tastefully, everyone loved the place especially because it is quite functional too, which many in my family (including myself) thought function generally has to compromise for beauty/aesthetics. As for her artistic nous is concerned, that’s easily evidenced in the pictures, however I was extremely pleased with her work ethics, professionalism, wanting to make things happen against all odds. I am absolutely certain she’d go very far in her interior design journey. I wish her all the best and a sincere thank for making our house our home, as the cliche goes.
