“We have been buying furniture and household accessories from Fairhaven Furniture for nearly thirty years, and most recently as our adult children set up their own homes it is the place where our children most want to shop. The items in our home which we acquired from Elizabeth and Kerry - our cherry dining room table, our down-stuffed curved living room sofas, side tables and bedroom furniture - are the artistic touches we love most in our home. Lao, Colleen and Mark have helped us to purchase beautiful pieces for our offices now too, from stressless chairs to sleek couches (we now own two sizes of "the Michael" sofa). On the rare occasions when we have chosen an item that is too big for the space or just doesn't quite look right the staff has helped us without hesitation, removing the furniture back to the store and helping us to make a better choice. There are times I go down to Blatchley Street with nothing in mind to buy, just for the pleasure of looking around at what's new. It's a visual feast of beautiful wood and vibrant materials. Nothing is mass produced, everything is made with care and invention.”

“We hired Willie for a second time because we love his quiet, thoughtful manner of thinking with us about the best solution for our problems. This time, we asked him to replace the sliders on all of our bathroom and kitchen drawers and to re-build the fronts with "better material." Willie, like us, loves our house for its unusual design --- a four-story tree house with a funky mixture of new and old materials. He convinced us that the plywood fronts to the drawers would look great if just sanded and refinished and that they would match the rest of the house. He also removed a half-wall and extended some shelves -- a process that unearthed an uneven floor. Unflappable in the face of difficulty, he did the best job I could imagine with this problem.”
