“Frank and his staff from Finial are wonderful! Frank designed and built our dream home. He listened and planned with us for months and incorporated every detail we wanted. Frank thought of many things we would not have. The result is beautiful exquisite and we could not be more happy. Frank and his team were wonderful throughout the building process. We were informed of progress, details were patiently explained and every sub was very respectful. Frank is very honest, clear and supportive. If we were to build another home, we would use Finial! “Shawn Starr of Dreambuilder Custom Homes built our custom home in Jacksonville Beach, completed August 2013. Shawn has an artistic eye and is meticulous in his attention to detail. Our home has many extras which are considered part of his basic construction package. Ceiling detail was especially thoughtful and added to the appeal of our home. Construction materials were of high quality and the 6 inch outer walls adding to the R factor were standard. We appreciate the high quality craftsmanship of the subcontractors who worked with Shawn on our home. Shawn is passionate about his work and made us feel like we were his only clients. In the post construction period, Shawn has remained readily accessible to us and has met his commitment to quality in managing punch list items.”

“HONEST and understanding. JB goes above and beyond what is expected. My husband and I put a contract on a home that "needed some work". The realtors had several bids from various contractors to show us how much these repairs could cost. We had JB come and take a look, and give us an estimate (for hours)... NO CHARGE. He could not believe the estimates from the other contractors. The roof did not need to be patched (in like 6 places according to the other bids), but completely ripped off and re-done. It was put on improperly causing all the leaks and damage to begin with. And the mold.... yes, MOLD! That was just another nightmare! He said he would be happy to repair it, but to be done correctly, it would cost more than the house. Basically, "run!" And, we did. Thankfully.”

“The Kirouac Group did a major renovation of our Kitchen, Dining Room and Family room. We combined all 3 rooms into a single open concept eat in kitchen and family room. We could not be more pleased with the result. To a person everyone who has come to the house since the renovation has loved the results. The project was a great collaboration between Shawn Kirouac, his on site leader and us as the home owners. The resulting design elements and details ended in a beautiful result. I would work with the Kirouc Group on another project and have recommended them to my friends.”

“I worked with Alex Shekhtman when his design/build firm operated in Maryland, on three major projects and a couple of small ones. Our first project was the complete renovation of our walk-out basement level in 2004. This space, including a family room with built-in bookcases, stone fireplace surround, large bay picture window, spa bathroom, and exercise room, is a primary living level for our family. The second major project was the repair of a major portion of our roof, attic, and an office room after a massive tree fell on our home in 2010. This project entailed repair of the slate roof over half of our home, truss repair in the attic, and repair of plaster interior walls. The third project was the remodeling of our master bedroom suite in 2013, to transform an adjacent office room into a truly fabulous bathroom with walk-in glass-walled shower, double sinks, soaking tub, and "water closet". This was our "dream bathroom" and continues to delight us every day. We engaged Alex's firm for other projects in between these major ones, including a powder room renovation, ceiling repair after a water leak, and installation of a new bay window in our kitchen. Alex listened carefully to our opinions and needs, assisted with vendor and product selection, and kept us fully informed and involved all along the way. His team here in Maryland comprised construction professionals who could do it all -- electrical, plumbing, tile work, cabinet installation, painting, window installation, you name it. They showed up on time, worked full days, and left a clean workspace every day. As a general contractor, Alex hired only the best. I am confident that his team in Florida is similarly talented and reliable.”
