“Tom and Scott built this great house for us about 8 years ago. They were involved from design and of course through construction. With over 7000 sq ft, we had lots of questions and challenges for first time we had a house built. They were terrific and we felt that we got a good value and great advice throughout, plus quality construction. Important too was that they stood by their work and do so even today. I know that if I had a problem with this house that was even remotely related to construction that one quick phone call would bring them back and they would take care of it. We did have a problem several years after construction and they fixed it at no cost to us. We have also had some remodeling done by them and they are great. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone. I would attach a picture to this, but do not see a way to do that.”

“Akins Construction did a full gut and remodel of my living room and kitchen as well as an add on den and garage. Work was very high quality, you cannot really tell that we added on. The house looks natural, updated, and construction work is very good! I would definitely recommend Akins Construction for your new home or remodel needs.”

“After viewing other custom homes that Charles Huddleston constructed, I hire him to build mine. The open kitchen/living space with the tall cathedral ceiling with a full front view of windows at 22' tall to the peak makes everybody that visit go Wow! He has customized to my needs and wants.”

“My home a Texas rambler which is 40 years old this year was remodeled by Discovery Signature Homes with Bart Pels, owner. These are the reasons he scored as high as he did remodeling my home. 1. Time to remodel was one week earlier than planned 2. Mr. Pels is so respectful of my home being repaired 3. Each day, his crew would clean up, preparing to start the next day, he is very proactive 4. Always on schedule 5. Always came to work early, and left when a days work was finished 6. There was no surprises with the cost, everything had been included up front 7. His ability to design, work with a very high quality of materials amazed my family 8. Mr. Pels taken my home and turned it into a new remodeled look that is exceptionally welcomed Any work I have I will always consult Discovery Signature Homes, Bart is honest, been working in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Denton County for over 20 years, it was easy to chose him as he has many people who are pleased with his work, and many repeat customers.”

“Larry and Josh Sullivan remodeled our 1970s-era ranch-style home, including a 720-square-foot add-on kitchen/dining room/sun room. We had compiled ideas (notes and photos) for the past year for our perfect kitchen/dining area, and they were able to incorporate nearly all of them into the project. They were perceptive in understanding our "vision" for the major remodel, and tactful about making suggestions for enhancing the outcome. They were meticulous about the custom cabinetry, which includes a baking station, pantry and coffee bar. Drawers and cabinets were specifically crafted for our needs -- where do you put a big, honking 22-inch paella pan? And my wife's mother-of-all-mixers was measured to fit perfectly in its designated niche. All of the subs were artists in their fields, from the bricklayers to the tile crew. Perhaps most challenging for any contractor is homeowners who want to participate in the work. But we were encouraged rather than tolerated, and we learned much from these craftsmen. The transformation was astonishing. We feel as though we have an entirely new home incorporating everything we wanted to achieve. We came in slightly over budget due to some of our substitutions and changes in scope and materials.”

“So my husband was in construction in the Navy so we usually shy away from hiring a contractor and either do the work ourselves or contract the work ourselves. This was our first experience with hiring a contractor. I have always heard horror stories about the projects being way more than what the bid was.......taking way longer than projected....and not as promised. Well I had the opposite experience with Denton Creek Builders! We hired them to build an attached garage for us. Not just any garage but a huge 25 x 35 garage, attach it to the home, and try to match the brick from a home built in 1969. The exceeded every expectation I had. Absolutely wonderful! They were professional, affordable, and completed the job when they said they would! If we had a concern or question he answered our call immediately or within a couple of hours. I never felt as if I had to chase him down. I will definitely reuse them for any projects in the future. I will definitely recommend them to everyone. Thank you Travis!”
