Fire doesn’t only destroy - it also creates. . . Pyrography is an art that creates stunning imagery on the medium of wood through burn marks by an electrically heated pen – the process is hand-made and no laser or computer is used. Each piece is absolutely unique and cannot be replicated. I work on wall art, coffee-tables, wood logs, wooden chests, wood paneling, bed head-rests, and just about any wooden surface that images can be burnt on. I work with both Indian and imported woods and regularly exhibit my work through private and curated exhibitions. All sold items can be shipped pan-India at buyers cost. My work is based on the concept of Wabi-Sabi, which essentially translates into "Asymmetry. . . Transience. . . Imperfection." I feel that's how Art and Home Decor should be! I certify that every piece of wood I work on has been sourced legally through registered timber dealers. I plant 100 fresh trees through an NGO every year and pay for their annual upkeep. 10% of my earnings are happily donated to the needy in the village where I live.
