“Mark Hammer and Don DiRocco (Hammer Architects) listen for what their clients seem to want - and then deliver - responsively, but boldly. I wanted a great big, airy, open style living, kitchen dining area - for a house where we would entertain. What I had was a house with low ceilings, tired finishes and no front door. Mark put pencil to paper and in very short order, opened up the space, raised the ceiling, added beams and pendant lights, and designed an inviting and exciting entryway that sparks a "Whoa!" and a "Wow" from everyone who gets through the front door. Don designed the kitchen and bathrooms, helped us choose and place all fixtures, paid attention to the smallest details, and made no mistakes. Our house got built on time and on budget. We're thrilled.”

“Architectural Design, Incorporated, architects on Cape Cod, MA company principals John Ingwersen, Andrew Miao and Peter Haig are all experienced Cape and Islands architects with degrees from Harvard and MIT, with wide-ranging design experience. The company was strongly recommended by former clients when we were looking for an architectural firm to design a unique home on Cape Cod that was a blend of both Cape Cod/Nantucket and Japanese design elements. We were fortunate to work with all 3 principals who each brought complementary skills to the task. There were many challenges bringing these diverse architectural design criteria together into a coherent, liveable home design. AD, Inc. was more than up to that challenge delivering a complete set of drawings and construction blueprints and documentation that met our requirements exactly and the builder found perfect to work with. The design phase of the project was completed on time within the budget established up front. AD, Inc. also provided oversight during the construction phase of the project consulting with the builder and owners on a number of issues as the work progressed. A number of new materials were used successfully which AD researched and recommended as appropriate for this project. “We purchased a 1970, abandoned ranch on Cape Cod that ended up needing significant repairs. It was a total gut. Gerrit provided us with plans that not only met the strict zoning laws here, but gave us our dream home. He is very talented and very easy to work with. We met several times over a 6 month period, where he listened attentively to all our ideas and concerns and came up with solutions to everything. The house is beautiful!”

“We met Doug while searching for a new home. Our realtor recommended him to us. We knew we wanted to find a place in town and then renovate it. Doug actually worked with us on 2 posibilities that fell through and then with the 3rd which we bought. He did the leg work on all 3 with the town hall and the building inpector to make sure we could do the renovations we were thinking of for them prior to making an offer. While working with Doug on our plans we found him to be very professional - always willing to meet with us and incorporate the changes in the designs to meet our vision. Doug went above and beyond to make sure our permits were in order. He actually attended 2 different Town Building Design meetings with me to answer any questions they had regarding our plans. He gave us an estimate and stayed true to that .... He worked well with our builder and the job went smoothly. I would definite use Doug again in the future. WE LOVE OUR HOUSE !! It is exactly what we wanted -- thanks to Doug and our builder.”
