“My husband and I are thrilled to be starting construction on our family home designed by Christopher Kellie Design Inc.. It was a true pleasure to work with Brent and Autumn Simmons throughout the design process. Not only is the architecture of Christopher Kellie aesthetically pleasing, it is also very smart in it's design. As a contractor/designer myself, I was first drawn to the "look" of the houses designed by the Simmons, however the actual use of space proved to be just as impressive. Brent's background knowledge in construction is obvious, as his layouts are very builder-friendly. Close attention is given to sizes and spatial relationships, allowing for maximum usage of area and efficiency with materials. On a more personal note, the Simmons were a joy to meet and work with. We live in another state, and they were most accommodating from the beginning. Autumn helped us to plan our trip to the beautiful mountains of NC, giving us recommendations for lodging, dining, as well as the best places to visit while in the area. The two also opened up their home to us, allowing us to see first hand their designs put to life. Since our visit, they have checked in periodically on our progress and we look forward to sharing photos soon! “Working with Mark Lee on our vacation home design was a pleasant experience. Because of his recommendations, our house is not only exactly the style we love, but is also functional. It is a cozy retreat for the two of us when we are here alone, yet it comfortably accommodates our visiting family and friends. Mark's plan maximizes our square footage so the house feels much larger than it actually is. We've had many compliments, beginning with the contractor who said the plans were "builder friendly." As we requested, Mark designed our house with "wow" factors---such as the lofted ceiling, beautiful staircase, fireplace & custom shelves, and huge screened porch---that still "wow" our guests (and us every time we come.)
