Y8 STUDIO New York is based in Lower Manhattan. Y8 STUDIO California is based in West Hollywood. Jordan Wyatt founded Y8 STUDIO in 2015 after founding and working with multiple companies in sustainable architecture, construction and design since 2001. He studied at the Stamps School of Art & Design crafting his own Bauhaus-style education before graduating from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture & Urban Planning in 2004. Since founding Y8 STUDIO he has launched an open source sustainable building platform in partnership with The Linux Foundation, and continues to work with city, regional and Federal landmark preservation groups to restore and modernize historic homes and buildings throughout the United States. He has taught architecture at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), served as a guest critic at Pratt Institute's Construction Management program, and trains emerging architects pursuing licensure as a contributor to the online education program at Architect Exam Prep. He is a licensed architect in New York and California, a member of The American Institute of Architects (AIA), as well as a LEED AP BD+C and Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC).
