William Leeds Architect

My recent bathroom upgrade by William Leeds Architect left me thoroughly impressed. The design is not only well-thought-out but also incredibly tidy. William Leeds Architect managed to strike the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. Every detail, from the layout to the finishing touches, showcases their commitment to excellence. I now have a bathroom that's not just a functional space but also a well-designed oasis. Highly recommend William Leeds Architect for their meticulous work!

Mr. Leeds is a brilliant architect, and my husband and I most highly recommend him. He did a truly wonderful job with our home remodeling project. Our ultimate goal was to expand our living room at the expense of a needlessly large master bedroom. The obvious solution of simply moving the separating wall would have left our bedroom windowless (thus, rendering the room illegal by NYC standards). However, Bill devised a genius solution which involved the installation of a floor-to-ceiling glass door. The glass-door solution made the living room much larger and very modern and elegantly looking, while at the same time solving the problem with the window. Bill also suggested and ultimately implemented several other great ideas that significantly expanded the living/dining space without sacrificing much space (if any) from the adjacent rooms. He also designed our teenage children’s rooms turning them into very functional and visually appealing work/rest spaces. Bill is extremely professional and takes his clients’ interests to heart. I only once mentioned to him how important the lighting and getting-rid-of-entangled-cables were for me, and he conducted the entire project with those priorities (along with the expansion of the space) in mind. He recommended a great team of subcontractors and competently and effectively led them through the successful completion of the project. My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised that Bill often protected our interests vis-a-vis the subcontractors better than we did. Bill is fabulous when working with his clients. He is very courteous, knowledgeable and listening closely to our concerns (which we, being inexperienced with these types of projects, had sometimes difficulties expressing clearly). He would often suggest more than one option to adress those concerns and would patiently walk us through the pros and cons of each one in order to help us crystallize our own choice. He never forced his own judgment, even though we came to heavily rely on and trust in it. In sum, my husband and I consider ourselves tremendously lucky to have come across and engaged Bill for our home remodeling project. William Leeds Architect did an amazing job at designing and managing our remodel project throught the process. We were very pleased with the entire process as they walked us through the process step by step when we needed it and were there for any questions. The project was on time and on budget and it turned out even better than we anticipated due to their great work at managing the remodel throught the process. They are highly recommended.

Bill Leeds is a wonderful architect. He headed our year-long gut renovation of a townhouse in NYC, costing approximately $1 million. Through his guidance we chose a terrific general contractor. His decades of experience were key to the success of our project. We met weekly with the contractor and Bill was extremely responsive to our needs and preferences. He worked tirelessly to make everything as perfect as possible -- and it was! We stayed within budget and all the work was of the highest quality. Bill is a true professional -- he combines a sense of space and usage with concern for the smallest details re hardware (which after all is what you have to live with daily). Besides that, Bill is genial, scrupulously honest, and easy to work with. His record-keeping and bill submissions kept the project well under control. Would highly recommend William Leeds for any reno or new building project in the NYC area.

The relationship of a client to an architect who are working on a complete renovation together requires a symbiosis based on the needs of the client and the understanding and guidance of the architect. Working with Bill Leeds, was an example of how that experience could be a positive one. We first met in the space that was our project and then he visited my husband and me in our home. Bill took careful notes during our meeting about who we were and how we lived our life and the ultimate goal of what we wanted our new home to be. During that meeting he took careful note of our present home and what worked and didn't work for us. We worked as a team for almost a year. Bill guided me in making decisions, taking into account what he had learned about our likes and dislikes, while all the time allowing us to make the decisions and have the ultimate veto on anything that did not please us. The support team he guided us to select for the project were so professional in every way. In addition, he knew how to work with the building staff, so that everything went smoothly. The end result is a wonderful home that is truly of our making and I could not be happier waking up there every day. I now am proud to consider Bill a friend, even though our working relationship ended quite a while ago.

Bill Leeds is the consummate professional. We demolished our 1,000 sf apt to the foundation and Bill created a masterpiece for us. With space at a premium, he incorporated maximum storage capacity without sacrificing the beauty and functionality of his design. All materials used were first class and, six years later, remain as functional as they were on day one. Bill held our hand through the entire design and construction process. He never superimposed his vision over ours but was always there to help us make decisions when we weren't sure. Working with him was a delight and the results speak for itself. Our apt is spectacular! If you are considering redoing your residence, treat yourself by working with Bill. You will not regret it!

Bill designed my apartment which was a total renovation. He helped me select my contractor and worked with me to choose tiles, fixtures, design the kitchen and baths - the whole nine yards. He was wonderful to work with, calm, patient, and creative. He understood our needs and our budget. His staff was (and is) responsive and thoughtful. In fact, I have recommended him to others in our building who also found him easy to work with. Deadlines were met, quality was terrific,

Bill assisted us in a 8 month gut renovation of a Manhattan apartment. His design was outstanding resulting in perfection. He created an open floor plan out of a classic six from the fifties. He fit 13 closets, of which 6 were walk ins, to provide more than ample storage. He combined a butlers pantry and galley kitchen and moved a wall one foot to create a stunning, very workable kitchen with archway bar into dining room. His attention to detail and advice on finishes were most helpful. We highly recommend Bill Leeds.

They worked with me night and day to design My 4 bedroom 1 bath cape home into a beautiful 6 bedroom 3 baths Colonial Style home. I cannot be more pleased with the outcome, Great job on my Dormer! I recommend them to anyone looking to do these kinds of work on their home.
