Too often people tolerate the spaces they occupy, simply because it’s easier than taking on the design process (i.e. cost, time, where to go, etc.) Our spaces are a reflection of ourselves, and the places we spend the most time have an impact on how we feel. When we look good, we feel good —right? Same theory in the world of interiors. A space cannot, and should not be picture perfect at every moment of the day. Function should be the goal, first and foremost, followed by building an aesthetic that fits the individual. This comes through patiently curating pieces that bring joy to those that experience them, and adding thoughtful accessories to bring it all together. Let’s say farewell to filling walls and shelves for the sake of filling them and do what makes us happy. The design process should never be stalled for lack of finding the “perfect piece”. Let it happen organically.
