Shay has helped me with numerous projects in our new home. She has been wonderful to work with, she is very professional and has an expert eye for all areas of the home. We love all of the items she has helped with including custom window treatments, furniture placement, and accessories. She is very easy to communicate with and has been very flexible to work around our schedule and budget. I can't say enough positive things about Shay and her work!

Shay has handled multiple projects for us in the past six years. She designed a custom extension for our kitchen island to allow seating, and helped us find a leather-finished granite slab. Shay helped us select a new color for our hardwood floors when they had to be resurfaced. She updated our powder room with new lighting, a large mirror, art, and shelves, after helping us select a new marble counter top. Shay found accessories, curtains, and a rug for our formal dining room. Shay updated our home office/library with accessories and task lighting. She selected a new paint color for our family room and entry way, as well as new accessories for our family room that compliment our existing furniture. We appreciate that Shay re-uses or re-purposes furniture we have, which saved us money on our projects.

I can not say enough about Shay and The Look Interiors. I just completed my first project for Shay and it was seamless from start to finish. As a decorative painter and subcontractor, I have had the opportunity to work with different interior design professionals through the years. I have to say, that my experience with Shay was second to none. Her ideas are brilliant! Not only is she extremely creative with the ability to visualize how things will look, Shay has the organization skills to bring it all together. Shay is a true professional, a master in her field, and such a pleasure to work with. Shay will help you make decisions to stay within your budget without making expensive mistakes. I highly recommend Shay of the The Look Interiors. We worked with her to remodel our entire first floor and our master bath and bedroom. She respected our budget and found new ways to incorporate items we already had and wanted to keep. I was particularly pleased with the way she managed our bathroom project. We ripped the walls down to the studs. Shay was there every day monitoring the contractors - most of whom were ones with whom she had established relationships. The project was completed on time, which was remarkable given the different types of work (electric, plumbing, tile) that had to be completed in the right order.

I worked with The I own a business which has me use The Look a lot. So I have gotten to know the owner well over the years. I worked with The Look Interiors for about 7 to 8 years. Shay Barbour the owner was always great to work with in cooperation, getting the job done on time Also the job had to be perfect, even if she saw a small thread she would fix it. Shay has a good eye and taste. Always keeps the clients budget in mind. She is also reasonable in price sometimes to reasonable, I would tell her she needs to charge more and count all the hours she work on the project but she dose not. In all the years I worked with her I never had a conflict with The Look or Shay. I really can't say enough good things for The Look. Just wanted to say I would recommend her to my clients and never a complaint.

Shay is extremely professional. She takes a lot of time to listen to what you want, to learn your preferences and to discern how much you would like to spend. She then spends a good bit of time putting together a design plan and gathering suggested products for you to select for your project. She saved me so much time and I'm convinced saved me a lot of money. She is readily available to answer questions, trouble shoot, etc. even AFTER the project is completed. She is the best design professional I've ever worked with and I will definitely hire her again for my next project.

We hired Shay to help us choose furnishings for our first floor remodel. She was so easy to work with, and she never pushed her ideas upon us. She was very careful to use as many of the existing pieces we already had in fresh, new ways. We were extremely pleased with the results, and we referred her to many others. She took exact measurements and provided all the hardware and in no time hung all our art work. In a short time, our house was transformed into a home thanks to the talent and effort of Shay Barbour. Shay (The Look Interiors) has decorated and staged three of my homes which in itself tells you how much I LOVE her work. One of my homes was a $700,000+ parade home that the builder, after seeing it decorated by Shay after I purchased it, said he loved the work she did even more than their high priced decorator. By the way, this house had won the decorating award that year. Shay has an ability to understand what you want and delivers to perfection and within the budget given.
