Genius architect and gorgeous, gorgeous design! Sanford Goldman designed our home in Terra Ceia, FL and in doing so did not leave out one detail. During the design phase, Mr. Goldman listened to our desires and dealt with the limitations of zoning issues. Those desires coupled with his experience and talent, created a masterpiece! During the construction phase, he was quick to catch things that needed to be addressed or that were not completed according to the plans. His hard work, thoughtfulness, and professionalism shows as soon as one drives up to our home and continues through every step one takes in the home. Mr. Goldman took full advantage of the beautiful waterfront views our lot had to offer, which can literally be seen in every room (even the master shower!). We never want to leave home.

My Sanford Goldman home was built on Redington Beach Florida in 1986. The structure flows freely and blends with the natural environment. From the moment you enter the front foyer the beauty and openness of the home is evident. The curved staircase to the second floor reveals an overlook to the downstairs. The living room, dining room, and kitchen floor to ceiling west windows allow me to feel a part of nature. The outside is open and inviting. The north gate opens to a small garden area and walkway that meanders to the back of the home where a landscaped patio and pool area rest on the Gulf shore. Of all the spaces in this exceptional home, my favorite is the library. The sliding glass doors, on the south side, let in soft light for a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. After thirty-one years of living here I continue to enjoy this beautifully designed home.

I always promised myself, my family would never live in a cookie-cutter home. Having a Sanford Goldman home is a perfect fit for anyone who loves the mid-century modern architecture. When someone says Mid Century homes Sanford Goldman will come to mind. This year Goldman was honored by the city of St. Petersburg FL. This was the first house Goldman designed 1957 for his sister. Our house is built of a cantilever design. Terrazzo floors flow from room to room. On the first floor. The living room and dining room feature Floor-to-ceiling redwood and glass doors. Inviting and indoor outdoor connection A unique style of Goldman. Opening up to a private tropical native landscape with a pool that could be mistaken for a pond. The upper level has 4 bedrooms 3 that give a tree house effect. Perfect for our three boys. The master bedroom features geometric shaped windows and skylights. A colossal of sunshine shining in at different angles. Creating a prism effect on the walls. At night you may even see a shooting star while laying in bed. Our Goldman mid century home its a piece of art and prized possession.

Master of mid-century modern architecture, Sanford Goldman, designed our 1963 indoor/outdoor breeze house in Jungle Prada and we love living in it! Brilliantly positioned gable windows, breezeways, and asymmetrical roof make the most of airflow and the winter sun while minimizing brutal summer heat. When we first saw this house, the stunning open plan layout, mid-century modern profile, and natural materials captivated us and we put in our offer from California, based only on photos. (We had looked for years for the right home.) Because this particular house needs some loving restoration, a project we welcome, Sanford generously met with us and walked us through the house, sharing design and structural insights, historical anecdotes, and original photos, which have inspired our commitment to his original materials, and wherever possible, his unique design. Earlier this year, we were honored to attend a formal proclamation by the City of St. Petersburg and Mayor Rick Kriseman recognizing Sanford Goldman with a Lifetime Architectural Achievement Award. His work is currently being archived by the city. We are looking forward to working with Sanford Goldman when his schedule allows.

Our home was designed by Sanford M. Goldman some fifty years ago, and I have enjoyed living in it for the past 49 years, It is beautiful because of both its distinctive architecture and its construction materials of redwood and pink quartz stone. Done in Frank Lloyd Wright style, its walls are finished with the same material both inside and outside. We delight in its external and interior appearance, with many unique"Wright" features. This architectural style adapts well to varied types of furnishings and art. The room proportions are very comfortable; in retrospect, we might have had a somewhat larger dining room, but there is little else that we would alter. Sanford is wonderful to work with, and we have consulted with him on additions including an outside bannister which coordinates beautifully with his original design,

We were fortunate to have a chance to buy this magical, memorable house in 1981 as its third owners. Its simple, contemporary lines and functional built-ins appealed to us, and its stunning presence on a heavily treed lot created an "oooh, aaah" reaction from most neighbors and passers-by. Yet we always had plenty of privacy, and we lived amid nature with wide windows, glass doors and striking open decks and a two-story screened porch. It was with regret that we needed to sell the house, and we held out hope that subsequent owners would keep our "Treehouse" in as good condition as we tried to do. If the right circumstances presented themselves to us, we would choose Mr. Goldman as our architect with confidence and enthusiasm.

Sanford was highly recommended to me by a knowledgeable friend and I feel extremely lucky that I was able to engage him to design and supervise the renovation of a condo we had been considering for purchase. In his gentle, thoughtful manner he said “you can have whatever you want”, a statement he repeated a number of times as we worked through specifics of an extensive planning and renovation period after we did buy it. His plan fulfilled all of our requests that were possible. His work with the contractors kept our wishes in the forefront and the end result was all we could have required. We are delighted with the open spaces, simple lines, and special touches Sanford shaped for us.

Imagine waking up every morning living inside a piece of art. Inside lines merge seamlessly into outside vistas. Every room is unique and cantilevered ceilings float off into space. That is how I feel about my home, designed by Sanford Goldman. His architectural vision is extraordinary.
