PICWOOD USA, L.L.C is owned by Tom Dockham, a second generation craftsmen. A published, Regional, National, and International Award Winning Photographer, a Cartoonist by trade, is the maker of custom made wood furniture and he’s been known to be an expert at telling stories in his pictures. His style is simple, establishing a connection with his subjects which allows him to capture the true essence of nature and wildlife in a beautiful manner for rare and intimate wildlife portraits. In the Spring of 2017 Tom is expanding into Candle Making something taught by his father Lee, as he was known as the "Candleman". Tom is also legally blind and a Service Disabled Veteran with a Leader Dog, a Service Animal which gives him the mobility to move about freely and independently. He has “Tunnel Vision” (if you look through a roll of paper towels you can roughly see what he can). Tom is single, living in Kalamazoo. Tom’s major charitable cause is the Southwest Michigan Make A Wish, and Leader Dogs for the Blind. In 2012, Tom and his Leader Dog walked over 1,200 miles in and around the Kalamazoo area.
