About Us

Established in 1968, We are a Design-Install-Maintain Landscaping Nursery. The owners have a BS Degree in Ornamental Horticulture from NCSU, a NCLCLB NC Landscape Contractors License, and a NCICLB NC Irrigation Contractors License. Perkins' Landscaping & Irrigation is a 'turn-key' company. The services we perform are (but not limited to): Horticultural Consultation; Site Evaluation (pre and post construction); For Buyers/Sellers---Landscape, Irrigation and Lighting Inspections (with written report); Design; Grading; Hardscaping---walkways, patios, retaining walls; Irrigation and Lighting System installation; Installation of Trees, Shrubs, Plants; Turf Installation and Refurbishment; Mulch Installation; and Maintenance of all of the above. UPDATED - Job is moving forward again. Perkins did a sodding and installation of an irrigation system in my backyard last year. As part of this plan they were going to come back and help with the drip irrigation. My last review stated that I had not had a response from them to get them to come back. That has changed and to their credit offered no excuses. Work is back to proceeding with the former level of communication occurring.

We have known Bill Perkins and Perkins Landscaping & Irrigation for many many years. They have provided services for 2 businesses as well as did the design, installation and maintenance on our personal home. They provided numerous services and completed multiple projects for us so it is impossible to pick an accurate project date/cost below. They always were fair and honest with pricing and job completion. We have now moved away from the Raleigh area but they continue to answer our landscaping/irrigation questions and provide valuable guidance when asked. We highly recommend their professional services.

My experience with Perkins Nursery has been consistently beyond expectations. Drew and Bill get great results, with the yard looking amazing. They always operate with respect - for the homeowner, the property, pets, . . . you name it. Their advice was always straightforward. They never used scare tactics to get us to do more that was necessary, and talked us out of things we were considering that would have been profitable for them but not best for us or our yard in the long run. I can't recommend them highly enough!! We used them for years until we sold the house, and will use them again.

Bill and Drew helped us not only implement the first two phases of our landscape plan, they helped us improve upon it! They made suggestions that helped us stay within our budget. They even taught us how to do some of the work ourselves in order to make our landscape dollars go further. We look forward to working with them on our additional phases -- which will take years!
