Jim Cassidy Construction LLC

Jim has completed several remodel and addition jobs for us. He is honest and so easy to work with. The estimates he gave us were accurate and he completed each job within the time frame he gave us. We have very pleased with the results!!

Initially I highly recommended Jim Cassidy Construction because of excellent renovation work done at my home, giving the company 5 stars. Jim’s project manager, Jeremy Glidewell, was outstanding. I was living on the coast at the time (375 miles away), but Jeremy kept me posted daily with photos and text messages/emails. We worked well together. However, I can no longer recommend Jim Cassidy Construction. I used this company for about 900 - 1000 sf addition to my home in late 2016-early 2017. Everything was moving along fine, when suddenly no workers showed up one morning. I learned via email that Jim had gone over budget. This was my first notice that my mortgage loan amount had been exceeded. I am 77 years old, on a very, very limited income with no savings, living on government annuity and social security, struggling to make ends meet. Before and during construction, I had emphatically stressed in person and via email that Jim must stay within my mortgage loan amount as that was the limit of my ability to pay. When he stopped work, there were things that needed attention. Some minor things he took care of. If he had made proper inspection, he might have discovered that there was no ventilation under the house, causing severe moisture problem. This has been corrected. I have had numerous problems including septic tank failure so that I have had to install a treatment system this spring, water damage in master bedroom closet from leaks and more recently a leaking pipe in the attic connected to hot water heater which has resulted in water on the attic floor and water stains on the ceilings and walls. On a personal level, I like Jim very much and regret I cannot recommend his company. Since I originally wrote a glowing report on this company with 5 stars, I felt it necessary to update my evaluation.
