Please, run (don’t walk) away from this company if they ever approach you to work on your home. We hired Abell to do some work on our home. Floors, bathrooms, etc. we signed a contract. Gave them a month to do the work. Our home sat empty, with no workers, more than there were workers in it. As we approached the deadline, we reminded abell of all the work that needed to be done. Suddenly, there were abell employees at our house. Unfortunately, it was too late. The work ended up to be some of the worst work we have ever seen. Our new wood floors were covered in unknown substances. They didn’t care about taking care of our floors. They also damaged two brand new bathroom cabinets and scratched a brand new refrigerator. And all they were concerned about was getting their check. No one asked us if we were happy. Not one person asked us if the work was good. Maybe they knew it was bad. Do not use Jack Abell. Find someone else. These guys are not good. Heed our warning. Learn from our mistake. Hire someone good.

Over the past several years, I have used this contractor on six different home improvement projects and have been extremely satisfied with the results. In fact, I am about to contract them to replace my existing carpeted staircase with hardwood. They are professional and dependable, show up as scheduled and clean up after the construction is complete. We contracted two projects with Abell's and were more than satisfied with both jobs. The first project was actually a complete redo of a construction that had been done worse than poorly. Abell's gave an estimate for both price and time and came through on both. They turned a nightmare into a dream 'lodge' for my husband and I. The second project was removing a stoop and adding a full size front porch. The end result looks like it was built with the original house and is our favorite spot to be. The workmanship and workers are what homeowners dream of when they think about renovating. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and we wouldn't think of using anyone but them.
