Thanks to the team at Abbeywood, we have the kitchen of our dreams. Donal and Máire gained our confidence by their willingness to listen patiently to our ideas, by gently introducing their ideas, and by their energy. All of this via video conferences as we started the process while we were still living in Canada during the pandemic; however, with Donal and Máire, we were in safe hands. We asked for a bespoke kitchen in a small space that was functional, met our needs and with a unique look. We explained our ideas, but asked Donal to widen our vision. He did and together WOW…. We love our kitchen; it surpassed our expectations. The quality of the workmanship, the competence of the fitters, Donal’s passion for working with wood, and the attention to the customers’ needs are the reasons why we highly recommend Abbeywood for the kitchen of your dreams. Donal, Maire and all the team were great to deal with throughout the process of designing and ultimately fitting our kitchen and utility. They really understood what we wanted and nothing was ever an issue. We would recommend Abbeywood to anyone!

Great friendly expert service. My kitchen was fitted 21 years ago by Abbeywood and I still love it. Hinges needed to be replaced and they sourced the exact hinges so I was delighted. Fitted in a few hours and kitchen left spotless after. Thanks Abbeywood - would highly recommend.

Our kitchen turned out amazing, more than we had ever hoped for. The craftsmanship and use of natural products is stunning. Abbeywood furniture recently completed a new kitchen for our new family home. From the first visit to the Abbeywood showroom to meet Donal and Marie to the final installation each step of the journey was amazing. The questions that Donal asked on our first visit seem a little strange but once he explained what he was doing it made sense. Donal wanted to design a kitchen to suit our needs and lifestyle. I wanted a kitchen as a family space and a cooks kitchen and that is what has been achieved. Myself any my husband wanted certain things in our new kitchen. We reviewed many different finishes and wood types, and we saw kitchens in progress in the workshop in Abbeywood and there is a great selection on display in the Abbeywood show room well worth a visit. We went with a light grey cabinets with red island and black /oak tops. The kitchen is the most admired space in our new home. We are thrilled with the final result and would highly recommended Donal and the full team at Abbeywood.

Just a quick message to thank Donal and Maire for doing such great work in our house. They were truly fantastic to work with from the beginning. We explained that we wanted the kitchen to be the highlight of our house and thankfully Abbeywood delivered on that. Donal had great ideas that we hadn’t considered during the design phase. We ended up with a far nicer design than we could ever have imagined. Meetings were never rushed and all aspects of the design were thrashed our fully. Both Donal and Maire gained our trust from the first meeting and were a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process. With regards the work itself we were so impressed. Donal is obviously a master craftsman and we felt lucky to have chosen Abbeywood. Cooking is now a pleasure for the first time in my life! We love the storage space, the sociable island layout and our round table which has given us ringside seats for our three young lads fights! Donal also did the storage area under the stairs which is really sleek just the way we hoped. He also did the utility room, master walk in wardrobe, custom-made en-suite unit which we love, and built in wardrobes in the other three bedrooms. All of this work was done to the highest standard. We had two very minor issues afterwards with the quooker tap and shelving in the utility and Maire sorted both out immediately. The fact that they are a local business is a major plus and Maire made it quite clear to call anytime that we have a question or problem with anything. This gives me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Abbeywood and sincerely thank Donal, Maire and all their team for their outstanding work in our house.

The love for wood we could see on Abbeywood's website, is what initially drew us to them. Once we saw their show kitchens, the decision was clear. They love what they are doing, and you see that in every detail. But not the looks alone count, the cabinets are also extremely sturdy and well built for generations of use to come. For the island and seating corner they came up with solutions where I wrecked my head around for months, and they incorporated my vision of a bright airy kitchen faithfully, despite using lovely dark american walnut for the floor cabinets. Also their advice to enlarge a window on the south side to let in more sun light and have a seating in front of it, included in the cabinets, was a great surprise idea. Incredibly creative and talented, love for detail, and out of the box thinking! I think nothing is impossible for them. We will surely use them for other projects in the house. Next will be the living room.

When we started our journey, we thought we knew what we wanted, we had our ideas and images for what we thought would look nice. Abbeywood completely opened our minds to newer more exciting designs that exceeded our wildest dreams. The out come was of the highest finish, expertly crafted and designed. The vision of Abbey woods dared us to dream of something more and we were not disappointed. It may have been just a built in wardrobe, transforming our obsolete en-suite into a lavish and stylish piece of art work that helped transform our bedroom into something more. The finishes were excellent and flawless. The manner and professionalism of the on site workers was excellent and I would recommend them whole heartily.

Donal is a gifted visionary who has been able to turn a dark, drab and dated kitchen and dining room into a light and spacious living area that combines style with practicality. He focused how how we like to live and this was the centre of his designs. Donal suggestion of completely rearranging the layout has enabled us to have a larger fridge freezer then planned, a large island for daily use and lots of storage which is essential to a busy household. We knocked a wall between the kitchen and dining room which created great space. Our previous dark room is now flooded with light. Marie provided great time and patience in helping pick wall colours and encouraged us to have an original classic kitchen colour which fitted with our home. As a family with young children this kitchen is now the centre of our home. It's looks fabulous but functions superbly.

Right from the first meeting, dealing with Abbeywood was a pleasure. Donal has an excellent way of predicting away into the future how your kitchen will need to function. The quality of their units is exceptional and attention to detail is to the fore. Yes there are cheaper options out there but with Abbeywood you get fantastic service and excellent quality that will last a lifetime.

Abbeywood designed & fitted a beautiful kitchen & utility in our new home. They were very helpful & gave us a lot of practical advise & guidance throughout the process.
