Erick Anderson is an artist and fabricator of the highest degree. A willing collaborator he takes an ideas and make them better. All types of metal are his play dough as he creates shapes and textures that one didn't even know could exist. Gunnar Design is our preferred custom metal fabricator. Their craftsmanship is impeccable; they are willing collaborators that make our designs better through their ideas and expertise and they will help us define an appropriate and workable budget so that we are all on the page early in the estimating/design stages. Gunnar has built custom furniture, store fixtures, metal ceilings and even restored a historical staircase ornamental railing for us. The furniture included polished stainless steel chairs, benches and trim for sofas. The store fixtures were custom stainless steel floor mounted fixtures with stainless steel drawers, hang bars and glass shelves. Gunnar has also developed and created for us a custom stainless steel wall mounted glass shelf system with integral hang bars. The metal ceilings were for a luxury fashion client that wanted to have mirror-like ceilings from one side of the store to the other with minimal joints for the over 6'-0" panels so that the mirror effect stayed in tact. An impressive accomplishment. Gunnar has worked with us in developing projects in different types of metal and different finishes from brass and bronze to nickel plating and blackened iron; satin and brushed finishes as well as polished and shot peened treatments. We continue to be impressed by Gunnar with every new project and challenge we put before them. We wholeheartedly recommend their work and services.

Erik has done a lot of work for us over the years. It is always made to the highest caliber of workmanship. We're always coming up with ideas for furniture and installations that are out of the norm and we never have to worry about whether it will be possible. You can throw him an idea and he comes back with something better than what we imagined. Great follow up and follow through as well. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for unique and beautiful pieces.

GREAT experience dealing with Gunnar Design - Custom steel kitchen shelving. They created custom steel shelving for me to match our custom kitchen cabinets, and I'd highly recommend them for anyone looking for something similar. I reached out to Gunnar because the quality of their products looked excellent from pictures on Houzz, and I was immediately convinced by the awesome customer service. I dealt mainly with Charlotte, and she gave me an estimated quote almost instantly and was very patient with all of my questions and tweaks to the design. The quality of the shelves that they created for me is top notch and was a really great price. All in all, we got exactly what we had hoped for - super high quality craftsmenship, an excellent paint job, great price. Additionally, the shipping was super easy. I'm an engineer (who is a bit OCD - so shipping may not be as big of a deal to other people), but the way that the shelves were packed for shipment was really impressive to me - they were very well protected and very efficiently packed. The shelves haven't been installed yet, but I'll put up pictures once they are.
