I have known Bob for over 15 years and watched him develop as a professional through hard work and great creativity. We have worked together on lake front homes with small lots, inland homes with large lots, any kind of unique site situation you can think of and Bob has always come up with landscaping/paving/lighting designs that not only compliment our architectural work, but make our work look better. We have had the pleasure of working with Bob and his team on a variety of projects over then past few years and have become a raving fan! We hired Greensource to design and build two patios. The first was a multi-tier patio, connected to our house, and the second was in a standalone area of our backyard. We could not be happier with both projects. The patio connected to the house, fits perfectly with the shape and style of the home, included large boulders as part of the design, and is comprised of two distinct areas, one of which incorporated a beautiful water feature. For the second patio, we asked for increased privacy. Bob designed a cool concept where the land around the patio was raised a bit, and then boulders and trees surrounded the patio. The work was completed on time and (maybe more important) within the budget. Now everything is grown in the it looks like both have been there for many years.

We worked with Bob and the Greensource team to completely 're-model' our front yard including an extensive landscape wall, blue-stone patio and walkway, softscape and lighting. Bob was thoughtful, responsive and very patient throughout the design process. Throughout the project Bob and the Greensource team were great to work with. They were very respectful of our house and children, showed up when they said they would and performed the work as agreed. I have no hesitation in recommending Bob.

We hired Bob to do the design/build landscape master plan on our new home after meeting with numerous design/build companies and we couldn't be happier. Bob and his team are true professionals that have a passion for their work. Bob visited the site and met with my wife and I on numerous occasions before developing the master plan which included landscape, extensive hardscape and a swimming pool. He and his team not only excelled with their part of the project; they took ownership and coordinated with our builder, pool contractor and various trades to insure the entire project came out perfectly and on time. We worked with Greensource for new landscaping in our front and back yards and a new back deck, and we could not recommend them more highly. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and reasonably priced. The work they did was excellent and made us so much more proud of our home. We talked to quite a few landscapers and contractors before meeting with the guys at Greensource for the first time, and we knew right away that we wanted to work with them. We never felt like they were out to trick us into spending more money than we needed to, and it seemed as though they were genuinely interested in our project. We wanted to put in a patio for a house we bought on Lake Erie. We found Greensource design on Houzz.com, liked their work, checked out their references and contracted with them to do the work. Bob Oster met with us multiple times as he designed the patio and privacy screening wall they ultimately installed. He was extremely easy to work with, as was his crew. They arrived on time, worked extraordinarily hard in blazing heat, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. In short, working with Greensource was a pleasure from start to finish, and the patio is beautiful.

I contracted with Greensource to design a new back patio and provide a natural rock barrier and waterfall on a hill in my back yard. Not only did I want it to be beautiful but I also wanted the project to solve some drainage issues during heavy rains that washed large amounts of silt onto an existing back patio and cement walkway. Bob's design addressed my washout issues with a new drainage system that captures water coming off the hill, transports and allows it to dissipate in a rain garden area of the front yard; it was brilliant and effective. Bob's design addressed a few issues that I did not even consider. The back and front yards were not connected, the existing layout didn't allow for good flow between the back entrances of the house and the existing patio area didn’t allow enough space to be functional for entertaining. Bob’s design really captured what I had asked for and simply took it to a level I couldn’t have imagined. Utilizing rock boulders, natural sandstone steps, and cut bluestone, my yard was transformed into an oasis, really like something you would see at a high end resort. To this day, I can’t believe that it is mine. Greensource provided a wonderful staff that was well dressed, well groomed and often arrived to the project before I even left for work. My project, which involved over 200,000 pounds of materials, was completed in 30 days. I have rehired Greensource for two more projects since and have been just as pleased with my lighting and planting projects as I was with this foundational project. I really feel that every penny I spent was worth it. It has been three years since the initial project, and still feel that I received so much value for my money; never one moment of buyers remorse.

I have contracted with Bob Oster for the past 5 years to do my landscaping and snow removal. Due to his excellent work in each of these areas, we used him for a major project which was over 40K. The results were simply OUTSTANDING! We couldn't be happier with Bob's consistent professionalism and expertise.
