David Mailing Architect Associates, Inc.

We recently (2 weeks ago) moved in to our newly renovated home. We are incredibly happy with the final result. A house that started out as a traditional home with unused rooms such as the living room and dining room, is now a much used, completely liveable space! Although we had our ideas, this successful design would not have the WOW factor had it not been for our architect's brilliant design! At the beginning of our project, we didn't realize the value of hiring an architect but we are now so grateful that we hired one. We would never venture into a project without one now. They have incredible insight and a huge grasp of function and form. David suggested things that we never even dreamed of. He sat with us during many hours of planning. He provided us with many many options at different price points. He had contacts and a contractor all lined up for us to work with but it was always our final choice, that he respected. The BEST thing about David Mailing, is that he listened. And we mean REALLY listened. He listed our houses shortcomings, wasted space and current and future needs. The result is a home that is a perfect reflection of mine and my husband's style. One of our friends came over recently and commented that our new home felt like US. David Mailing made this happen. Our renovation was a big project so the best thing we did was to move our family out for the seven months of construction. It was a big move both out and back in, but totally worth it. We wake up every morning shaking our heads, that this dream is a reality. We have the most amazing, comfortable home. We go to bed every night smiling at the way David's ideas turned out. We LOVE our home! We live in a cookie cutter type of neighbourhood, with all single family homes. We really love our neighbourhood and have lived here for 15 years. It was important to us that the newly altered house still fit in with its surroundings. It certainly does! Our home is so smart, with much more storage and open spaces. It is full of light. It is stylish yet warm and cozy. It is US! We still are amazed at how David Mailing was able to take our dreams and give us a final product that was beyond our imagination with consideration for our budget. A real dream home....all because of his design. He walked with us through every step. He listened to any concerns we had and met with us continually to ensure our happiness. He was professional and gave us his thoughts and ideas. He was also willing to listen and work with us, compromising at times as well. There are not enough words to express how great of a decision it was to hire David.
