Some of our favorite projects over the years have been collaborations with Dean A. Wenz Architects. The focus is always on the client first, and we truly appreciate the efforts he makes to have the new structures blend seamlessly with the existing house. We know that any of the projects that come to us from this company will be well thought out and well documented.

DW was hired by us to adapt & design an existing 20 x20 porch into a family room/audio room for our 1929 tudor home. Our intent was to use and tie in as many of the existing features as possible (stone walls, floors, plaster(s) etc) so that the additional room looked original to the house. The room needed heat, electrical/cooling as well. Dean did an outstanding job from start to finish. He listened to our needs & dreams, did research on products, was mindful of our dollars spent, and provided clear plans for our GC to work from. Furthermore, as the project progressed, he continued to provide guidance and advice-when needed. His work was superb -for us, we absolutely trusted his aesthetic. He made our vision a reality. The result is an addition to our home that fits --success. We would hire DW again for another project .

Our house was built in 1936. As with most older homes in this neighborhood, ours was admired for its charming interior design, original trim, plaster walls and leaded glass windows. But the house is relatively small (1,850 sq ft) and the kitchen, though remodeled once by us, was still small and uninviting. We decided to upgrade it one more time and then realized that if this was to be our last shot at getting it right, we should spend the money and the time to have an expert give us his thoughts. We hired Dean Wenz. His first question: are you willing to entertain some more dramatic changes to the space to achieve your goals. Gulp. Sure. The results were more than we could have hoped for. What we once joked was a "two butt" kitchen - as in, my wife and I kept bumping into each other - became a spacious and beautiful kitchen that remained true to the house's classic look. Dean was a delight to work with. Knowledgeable, friendly, professional and sensitive to our cost concerns.* We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
