About Us

Charlap Hyman & Herrero is a Los Angeles / New York-based architecture and design firm that takes a fully integrated approach to conceptualizing and executing spaces in their totality. Principals Adam Charlap Hyman and Andre Herrero, AIA, whose backgrounds are in interior design and architecture, lead a practice that considers all aspects of the built environment, from site plan to furniture. I have hired Charlap Hyman and Herrero for several projects. I love that they have excellent taste, can be creative, but also cognizant of the budget. They are enthusiastic about every project and really put a lot of time in thinking about all the details. They are currently doing a complete remodel of our house in the Hollywood Hills that is turning out spectacular, better than we imagined, We are so pleased we are having them design our new home in Seattle. I can not recommend them highly enough!

These guys are the real deal. They will be superstars in the coming years. And they complement each other wonderfully. Andre is an incredibly talented architect. He understands the client and also brings vision and leadership. He’s also super reliable, friendly and flexible. Adam is a star designer. He has a unique eye for the elements in a house that make it truly special. What a talented duo. Sure to be superstars!!
