Alexis King Interiors

Alexis King is by far the best interior designer that I have ever worked with (and I have worked with several!). Not only does she have an amazing eye for design, her communication skills, professionalism, personality is equally as amazing. She has a great style and presence, which makes you feel immediately heard and valued. Not only is she a great listener, she is intuitive and thoughtful about making suggestions with explanations as to “why and how”. Alexis did a small project at our primary residence which turned out exceptionally well. We ended up unexpectedly purchasing a vacation home and the first call we made was to Alexis. The home was no small feat; good bones but bad finish work. The job required remodeling, all new paint, fixtures and furnishings. Alexis communicated seamlessly with contractors and found local resources without issue. She prepared countless install notes and drawings. Alexis worked within our budget and was/is completely transparent in her monthly billing & recaps. In addition, she has taken on working on our exterior project, which includes the conceptual design of a 1,600 sf pavilion, along with furnishing for the entire 1 acre project! Alexis ALWAYS makes you feel as though you are her most important client, which in my opinion is rare for her trade. I could continue raving on or you can simply hire Alexis! Alexis is brilliant - A true artist. Wonderful vision and easy to work with. She turned my original 1950's ranch into a beautiful masterpiece. She's patient and listens to all ideas and concerns. My contractor says she's the best designer he's ever worked with.

We hired Alexis King Interiors to evaluate our rather challenging living room with 'not quite octagonal' half wall which is surrounded by large windows, french doors, fireplace then openings to adjoining rooms. Alexis did an Amazing job solving all our problems including fabric choice that was beautiful yet sturdy enough for a child and two cats! She reviewed our home floor plan to ensure the best custom fit for the sofa. The colors meld together perfectly. My husband and I are both tall and she immediately realized the sofa we've had for 10 years was not deep enough. I didn't even realize... until we received our new one! Makes a world of difference. Alexis is a designer with a vision. Her ideas are pragmatic and we loved how she worked with us to bring our dreams to life. She pays attention to the smallest details; and recommended things that we, as normal homeowners, would never have though of - things that we now appreciate. So glad we made the choice to bring her in for our kitchen and bath remodel.

Alexis was a replacement interior designer after our original designer had to leave the project. She came on to the project fully accepting all the design decisions that had already been made that were now closed and tackled all the new issues as they arose, as well as revisiting some areas we were not happy with. She really learned our driving criteria for decisions including the styles that we were using and our budget and came up with selections of materials that fit both, while also adding her own element of design. Alexis worked very well with our contractor, as well as the cabinet sub. She also had her own subs for some specialty items, like a metallic glaze/paint, who were very responsible and professional about making sure the finished job was correct.

I was desperate for a new look for our living and dinette areas of our home. I met with Alexis King and she came up with a few ideas that I thought might work, and put them on paper so I could get a sense of what it would look like. I was already impressed, as it seemed she could sense my taste and style, or at least what I was going for. Next up she took me to a few stores, we made several choices, and long story short (ok this took a little while due to some custom work) we now have the living area of my dreams!! I can't recommend Alexis highly enough. She's personable, professional and seems to have this ability to 'read' her clients specific needs and desires. Very highly recommended!!

Alexis is a superb designer. We moved into a home that had an architecture we were not accustomed to and frankly did not know where to begin. We called upon her to help figure out a solid design plan for our new home. Alexis King to the rescue! She is able to translate your wishes for functionality and still make things beautiful. She is super detailed with her design aspect and gives you many different options to work with. She is soup to nuts design and will give you the same passion whether you need help with a small project or a full fledged home design. This Lady Can Design! Alexis came highly recommended so we went to see some of her recent completed projects and fell in love with her design. Alexis designed a complete remodeled kitchen, living room and 3 bathrooms, one of which was a master bathroom. She worked closely and effectively with the contractor which contributed to them finishing before the estimated timeline. I had a strict budget which I felt she respected and helped me prioritize projects to stay within those boundaries. She was meticulous about details and caught any mistakes before they became irreversible or expensive. My house is very rustic, but I have always longed for a more modern space.
