Residential design is an intimate process. Amanda prides herself on being friendly and accessible. She combines these attributes with her education, training, and experience to bring clients’ visions to life through unique, functional, and personal designs. Amanda has been practicing design for 10 years. She received her Interior Design degree from the University of Alabama

As a contractor, I cannot recommend Amanda and Brooks Vale Design enough. I have worked on numerous projects with her over the last 4 years and every single one has gone smoothly. Her designs are well detailed, her clients love the final product, she is on time, and most importantly, she responds quickly. Better plans and detailed specifications make for an on time and on budget project. Not to mention, she designs beautiful spaces!

Amanda was wonderful for our major to-the-studs renovation of our 1920s home. She really listened to how we envisioned using the space and was very thoughtful with layouts and budget. We also appreciated her attention to detail, organization and communication (both with us an our general contractor) to complete this large project. Highly recommend! Renovations are stressful and having Amanda on my team made everything so much easier - and the finished project is just what we wanted thanks to her help!

Amanda is thoughtful, thorough and cutting-edge with her style, while able to execute any design project according to the style of her clients. She is quick to respond and always highly professional. She was able to maximize space in our kitchen, which was low on both storage and countertop area. With her guidance, the kitchen functioned much better for our needs at the conclusion of the project, and the space looked modern while still appropriate for the craftsman style of our home. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Amanda.

Amanda did an excellent job helping me design my renovated kitchen. She listened to my needs and my wants, kept my budget in mind and provided a great plan. She was very knowledgeable about space planning and about finish materials and products that met my needs. I appreciated the thorough design drawings and materials lists that she gave to my contractor so that the whole renovation project went smoothly and was completed on time.

Amanda went above and beyond with the quality of work and communication. She is very nice, responsive, and informative. She managed the entire project after we mapped out our goal and budget so we could save a lot of headaches. We are more than just happy with the result; overall ambience (color, texture, etc), selection of materials, and installments choices she made. Also she was accurate with the timeline with some cushion so you can trust her deadline.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Brooks Vale Design! I had never used a professional designer before. I was always afraid my style or budget wouldn't be respected. That definitely wasn't the case with Amanda! She listened carefully to my goals and objectives, and the options she presented me reflected that. I had a pretty tight deadline on my project as I had family visiting from out-of-state. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect ahead of their arrival. I was so pleased with the way everything turned out - and she seemed just as excited as I was with the results! What was just a boring new build house is now a personalized and beautiful home. Finally, I'll add that her use of technology made working with her super easy and efficient.

Amanda was very helpful as I remodeled a Capitol Hill condo. Her guidance through the project was invaluable. She really got to know me, helped me to identify solutions from paint colors, kitchen and bath design, lighting and flooring. She was patient and really took her time to know my style. Such a pleasure to wok with!!
